The irony is that the only people this will really affect will be noobs and miners/haulers, as most of us longer term players will have chars both north and south of Uedama and would thrive even if Uedama was totally blocked off.
Perhaps all of the Gankers should travel to Rokofur. It’s a 0.6 system that is currently under an Angel FOB siege. If you don’t comply, Uedama will end up the same way as Rokofur.
To be fair, I see antiganking just as much as “content” as ganking.
Someone wants to gank? Fine by me.
Others want to prevent ganks in game? Also fine by me.
I always fulfill my intel duty, when passing through Uedama or other iffy systems. For me that is also content. Known gank individuals, corps and alliances are already flagged as deep red for most of us anyway. So, it’s not like there is much of a surprise to be had.
So if ganker fleets get blown to bits by organized vigilantes and voluntary militias, I see that as content. Funny content, even. Unless you only see “fighting defenseless people” by either a surprise or mass suicide attack as “playing the game”, well knowing that the kill will net you way more than your inevitable death by the mentioned “invincible NPC fleets”.
I haven’t personally been ganked in any of the hisec systems yet, because our intel mostly works out. And also I fly high value cargo only during certain hours. Gotta be smart.
EDIT: Also, this is a sandbox game. There is no “way it is meant to be played”. Some people even do nothing else than PI the whole day. And that is fair, too.

You seem really fixated on Uedama. It’s starting to border on an obsession. You do realize that it’s not the only system gankers can gank in.
He does seem to be obsessed with Uedema and a few other systems, but mainly it seems he has a CODE obsession.

He is right to be focussed on Uedama. If that was to become like lowsec then it changes the whole market setup of Eve. Personally I think that would be a good thing once the dust settled.
Though I have no idea if this is something that could happen as I have not been following these mechanics in anyway.
