+1 These forums are not perfect but reddit brings me back to the times of 4chan. Completely unintuitive and messy “forum” if you can even call it that.

Agreed reddit is among the worst formatted sites for discussion despite is odd (to me) popularity.

It sounds like they’ve locked logins on the old forums so I’d expect things to start picking up over here now. I think the new format is getting bashed harder than it deserves as it’s generally functional and quicker to load content.

Sub forums could be listed out better so they don’t look like tags or key words - that really bugs me. I’m still not crazy about the weird split view contend editor either though I see what they’re going for.

They are not responsive, if you need to view them on a small device (laptop, tablet or cellphone) you’re not going to have a good time.

Old forums are more responsive. Quoting you required me to restart firefox 5 times, each time the page froze on firefox for more than a minute.

The tendency to all-javascript “becasue it’s TEH trend now !” data is retard. This new forum design of “continuous load” is retard. Like people said, having to press ctrl F twice to actually find something in the page is stupid.

Users DON’T want to learn your new navigation paradigm. You can’t ask people to modify theyr long-learned habits just for the sake of modernism.
You have to propose an interaction to the users and not require them to learn a new whole way to interact with you.
