If developers already know the things that are wrong or outdated with their game, Eve Online, then why do we need CSM?
If they dont know any problems their game has, they can tell us players to come here to eve forums and say it here.
Why do we need CSM? Seems like a waste of time.
And what if they are interested in what players who have a bit more experience with the game have to say instead of whatever rubbish we can read in the umpteenth varrra thread on the forums?
Then it makes sense to have a panel of more experienced players to bounce ideas off, players who have shown to have a bit of experience in the content they talk about.
I’m sure the forums are one of many ways Fenris sees what’s going in the game. There’s discord, social media sites, and even surveys they send out to your account’s email. And (not exactly) but when you looks at the map, you can filter it to see pretty much a heatmap of where player activity is… I’m sure FC has the stats to see what’s going on in every aspect of the game.
But anyway, I personally believe CSM are there to bring the playerbase’s ideas and concerns to FC with a direct connection (im guessing discord) with a select group of individuals rather than being slammed by 1000’s of the DMs saying the same thing.
I’m not saying don’t bother FC, and I think you should bother ‘FC Swift’ by evemail on how you cook with veldspar - Give him your best recipe. Or send him a request to be your job referral for an interview because EVE has been your 2nd job for 10+ years.
