Your sec status isn’t going to matter much in losec. If you need to go into hisec with it for some reason just keep it above -2.0 and you’re fine. Rather than grind it back up just get or buy some tags.
victor and all
I guess it is good that CCP are looking into ways to remove people from highsec and off to low and null where they belong as per the game. CCP Rattari had a good idea of any account older than a year would not be allowed to have it’s characters travel/reach highsec space anymore.
Sounds like the goal there is just to increase player/character/account numbers rather than any interest in what is best for the game or the player’s experience though.
Only times I went back to high sec was between corps/alliances or sometimes slunk back just to chill - I amused myself sometimes coming up with silly setups for doing high sec stuff which people wouldn’t normally do like running L4s with a Thrasher using links and crystals just because I could (though that got boring fast with the relatively low damage).
Of course they dont belong there in low sec and null, and that is the part where CCP will have to backpedal faster than they were going that route if they ever do it.
Where people belong stems from more than CCP wish. If that is their plan, well, every plan have a flaw, in this case it is not understanding their own game and reasons why people play it. Of course they may want to change the game, but people will react accordingly, mostly dropping out, as they never wanted to play in other way.
They need to play how ccp intend game to be played.
Rattati has lots of great ideas, no doubt about that. Most of which result in spectacular player satisfaction.
Lets not forget that he was in charge of Project Nova, the next grounbreaking project from CCP, that was also redefining the genre.
I am just AMAZED what future can bring!
I like the hisec one, that is a CODE ganker being protected by CCP.
Oh, surely these square pegs can be beaten into the desired round holes if only more brute force is applied?
I will add also, that wanting to play some way is of course not entire picture, as there are more things than wanting, that direct people to some kind of gameplay. Like some people say, real life comes first, and for that, hisec is a great thing. EVE is full of people who play 1, 2 hours daily, and then they dont have time to do more. But I dont know, the bots may be the preferred CCP customer maybe. Null is full of them, for some reason.
That is pretty much the #1 way to permanently kill EVE.
Why ask why?
How so? Not even close. Players will move to the areas they are supposed to play in and thrive there.
Well said.
If I drive everyone in EVE away, I’m gonna declare victory and celebrate.
Just imagine, Aiko keepstars in every system, and they are all empty.
There you go again queen @Aiko_Danuja serving up those hanging curves over the plate.
Kudos to the OP for an interesting subject. Others have voiced in one way or another my sentiments. This map says the rest. Null is not the real part of space. Null is a hyper political kiss the ring cluster of dictatorships. I have no desire to be a pawn in someone else’s empire.
That null is the “real” part of space, is sloganeering not truth
But we live in empire space. Aren’t we just pawns in Concords game? Concord pays us to run incursions, kill FOBS, and all kinds of events. What’s so different? NS is the very frontier of EVE ran by us. Not concord. Same with WH space.

If CONCORD didnt pay bounties thered be no Isk faucets.

You attribute “we” and “us” to multiple groups so I really don’t know who I’m talking to. That said, Concord paying players to voluntarily undertake activities is not the same as the local dictators forbidding the peasant miners to mine except in designated areas. I can cross 45 hi-sec systems and mine a belt all day without some much as a “by your leave sire” which would most certainly result in a lost hull and eventually podded in Null.
Null is a soft tyranny. Hi - sec is freedom and commerce.
