Players will be forced to move to areas where they have no infrastructure, no stable markets, no reliable way of creating income and where everyone not in their corp will want to tear them to shreds.
At that point, most of them will straight up quit. And given the fact that the majority of EVE playerbase is in high sec, that basically equals killing the game.
Lack of friends in null, not much time to play every day. I’m only on for a little bit on weekdays, weekends. I don’t know anyone in null.
Preventing players older than a year from using high sec will also remove a lot of the flavour - far less of the higher end ships floating around, etc. activity in general depressed towards the lower end stuff so less inspiration and less variety in activities for new players to learn from or be motivated by, etc.
Tell me you never undocked from a station as a new player and saw say a Machariel going by or a bling 20 man fleet drop on a war target, etc. and think that is what I want to fly or do one day, etc.
This is the problem with people pushing changes on the game who aren’t invested in it from a player perspective.
Yea, it’s an ‘either or’ situation. On second thought tanking is more important but a few inertial modifying modules can’t hurt. And since they nerfed the warp module…
Players are not supposed to play where devs or you want. Players are supposed to play where players want, and dev are there to create world and gameplay that will be picked up by players. Its not like players have a gun put to their head to demand from them anything, and even if they would, where is the fun in that, playing with a gun pointed at you, where you dont want, where others dont want you even. Because what if some alliance just dont want you in their numbers? What will you do then? Gun will blow in your face and game is over. Permanently.
Thriving in a hostile environment? More like deading the game.
The devs and you could then cry a thousand tears, shouting “WHY ARE YOU NOT PLAYING WHERE I WANT!”
All that needs to be said tbh
The minute CCP tell me i can’t go where i want and do what i want is the day i tell them they aren’t getting any more of my money lol
Okay, I have to ask.
Is your friend a journalist, a game designer designer, a professional competitive gamer, or a professional currency farmer?
–Curious Gadget
People DON’T belong living in Wormholes.
Y’know, as per CCP’s original design…
Aren’t ya glad that players decided that was crap?
CCP was - after the fact.
–Holey Saint Gadget
They are.
It’s a sand box.
–Gadget has plenty of pails
Alright enough of this.
Obvious troll account is obvious.
–Oblivious Gadget
You are correct. They belong in nullsec. No one said players need to go to wormholes.
Most of the people have a limited gameplay time (let’s say, 1hr per day), so they choose an area of space where they can do something meaningful using time they have (hi-sec: less travel times, easier trading and ship fitting, easier to avoid enemies).
It is problematic to play casually in nulsec or wh/pochven, while it is somewhat possible in lowsec if player prefers pvp over pve (due to proximity to hi-sec).
Mainly because of timing issue and timers being disrupted by other people. Then the operations are won be more no-life robots than you can have, or people with 12 accounts. It is why null is full of them. They have found their niche, and if CCP imagines majority can play such way, CCP have a big, big problem, because they cant.
No one said players need to go to wormholes.
No one said they couldn’t - so they did.
THAT is the spirit of EvE…
–Gadget goes where she wants
My friend is a game designer.
Incidentally, I also know quite a few competitive gamers and professional farmers.
Stop doing this, is an embarrassment for people that live in nullsec. Working into making your space/corp/alliance attractive for the people you want to bring there instead.
It’s a very obvious troll doing very obvious troll things. Why feed and give attention?
Morbid curiosity, I suppose. Maybe a fleeting hope that she will start to act better after being called out.
In any case, is not like my attention is that valuable at the moment.
Link to where he said this please?
