Why doesnt Null invade Lowsec?

Well here’s the thing. If the goal is to keep them there…

Why not get close to just ONE supercapital. And focus only on keeping IT there. While the dictors seem to make sense at controlling a fleet’s movement…

If the nature of the enemy fleet is to rescue a stranded Titan…wouldnt it cripple them just as much to strand that titan?

The Titan has 10+ core strength.

Somewhere in there I think theres a ridiculously tanked solution that can get 10 points on the target and survive longer…

How much EHP would you say is reasonable at the size of an Occator or BS to take any reasonable amount of damage that would be preferable to the dictors used?

What other considerations do you think weigh in favor of the dictors?

Rather than just brute strength hamstring a titan and hold out onto it as long as you can?

I dont know if suggesting a larger class ship makes sense in that scenario. Obviously each class is susceptible to damage from different clases…like dont BSs take pretty significant damage from dreads?

Yeah, I’m not gonna try to explain what it’s like tackling a blob of capitals to someone who doesn’t really know. It would take way too long and requires a lot of underlying fundamentals.

Per level.

Yeah, no. lmao

Like I said, way too numerous to list them all, but here’s a few.

  • Destroyer hull - fast, agile, warps quickly, and has low sig so capitals have a harder time locking them
  • Able to launch bubbles to cover wide areas that can only be removed by smartbombing them or MJFDG-ing them
  • Able to crash gates while launching bubbles due to no Weapon Aggression timers
  • Cheap and affordable
  • Easy to skill into
    etc. etc.

Again, you’re welcome to propose whatever ships you think would be better.

Ah fair enough then.

Before that can be done I have questions that would need answers.

For instance if an occator class ship with 400k ehp would still melt to the blob because it’s too big and easy to hit…then I wouldn’t consider it.

As for the +10 warp str per level. That’s a high bar to achieve.

And I just dont think the super carriers would hold a fleet back…they’d probably abandon it for dead?

It would.

I don’t know what you’re trying to say here.

If you tackled the super carrier, then they’d probably just abandon it if you started to bring in more threatening forces?

They wouldnt try to rescue it or commit more to a fight like they might for a Titan?

Why would you waste a Super when you can just put like 4 more minutes of effort to getting everything out safely?

Given that Titans go for like 40b, and Supers are closer to 11b, it doesn’t really matter.

The question is: is there a way to lock down a super so that they will have to spend much more than 4 minutes of effort to get it out?

Apparently knowing nothing at all about how things work in Null, you feel no problem with suggesting that there must be better ways to do things, which you also have no clue about, but simply assume the people who’ve been living in null for 10 years haven’t figured them out yet. And somehow your random suggestions which are clueless and uninformed would lead to an innovative new solution?

When you say “the psyche of those in low sec are clearly shown by your posts”, do you mean to say that most people in low sec are apparently ignorant attention-whores who’ve gone off their meds because they can’t afford a refill?

I always jettison the hookers.

Why dont you come to lowsec and find out?

You can keep throwing more Dictors at it.

How did they get away then? Ran out of enough doctors?

Clearly by being given a window of opportunity and jumping out.

Which mechanically was too few dictors? Or something else?

I wasn’t there, so I can’t answer that question for you.

Damn that seems to be the interesting part of the puzzle too

I hope you’re starting to understand why Nullsec doesn’t bother invading Lowsec.
