When i search about gameplay in youtube, especially when gameplay with Capital ships. It always using bird eye perspective(Soemtime very far. The problem is sometime the “Ship” was covered with the icon of nearby object like another ships or drones that covering the entire ships. If you found where the channel or in anywhere else that have the nearby view.
I have the nearby view.
Not many if any, show gameplay from up close. You want to be able to see what’s around you on grid.
You can always play with no view. CTRL+SHIFT+F9 this is no 3D view, but you will still see icons ( brackets ) in space empty space. If you are looking around you, for other ships warping in on you, then you want to zoom out. Seldom will you be in 3rd person mode watching your ship. Even less popular is the 1st person cockpit view.
Do you have link?
I presume you mean the Tactical display, as the basic display in itself gives you no idea how far away other ships actually are ( unless you move the cursor over them, which is cumbersome ), especially if they are some way above or below you. The Tactical display is really rather pointless if viewed from overhead, as the whole idea is to see the lines connecting ships to the plane of the grid…from which you can see how far above or below the plane they are.
I always use the Overview, with ships ordered by security status ( because I hunt suspects ) and then by distance. I look at the visual display of space itself rarely. In fact the only time I look at it is to see which side of a station a ship has arrived at, as I can then know if a target can easily reach me after I fire on it.
she is trolling you

Yeah always like this. Especialy the first one.
Yeah, Tactical view. The problem is no one ever have the gameplay footage where they show the entire ship in action. Especially carrier and titan. in fact the only titan i know how they shoot is avatar (From front ships) But i never see like Leviathan, Ragnarök, and Erebus shoot the turrets. It make me wonder how they even shoot their turret because the only footage available is the doomsday one.
THEN the obvious solution is getting a titan yourself and creating the footage for it!
