Why is everyone multiboxing so many accounts now

Just from my interactions with a Null sec alliance and FW, seems like most of the time Null sec alliances and FW are more comcerned about using third party chat apps to collect member IP’s that are then sold to other platforms to cross index, “I know this or that about you.”

I’m curious, do you have safety set to red or blue?

What are you smoking?

I set each Safety ganker’s standing according to their score in the GankIntel spreadsheet. Their quotas are clearly defined, and the standing is assigned accordingly. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Not sure you should just dump all multi-boxers into one category of low lifers. I just joined and also got into a “good” corporation with the help of a friend that has been playing EVE a few years.

I was surprised to see one of their most active players runs at least 6 ships when we went in a fleet mining. He spends something like 100 dollars a month I think to be able to do that, so I think it is not cheap. No idea if he also does this in a PvP activity, but this was strictly PvE stuff we were doing, no one getting ganked or anything.

Seems like a decent guy, not someone you need to block or anything.

I may be wrong, but doesn’t a multi-boxer just fleet up all his ships like any group of players would do? Doesn’t seem like it is all that different if you encounter 6 players in a fleet and get ganked or one player with 6 alts in a fleet and get ganked. Same outcome really. So if you don’t like the multi-boxer, why are you ok with the PvP fleets that have ganked you?

Link the freighters you ganked with 1 ship.

What a badass

The most common use of multiboxing is probably real time scouting. I always scout ahead whenever going through any dodgy system. When I moved an expensive ship recently I literally had a scout one system ahead the entire time.

Also, people multiboxing in fleets don’t necessarily multibox the same ship multiple times. One char may be DPS, another may be logi, another may be a DST or a scout. There’s lots of variants of multiboxing…its not all 20 man DPS fleets.

Killboards mean nothing. Trying to use it as some kind of slur/insult reflects more on yourself than it does the person you try to aim it at.

A lack of a killboard can simply mean that that pilot is good enough to avoid any grief. Why lose a ship if you can avoid it?

Or it could just be a docked up trading/forum alt, plenty of players using these forums do the same.

That’s utter nonsense. If a person is complaining about something then one quite rightly looks for any indication that that person has ever been affected by the thing of which they complain. A classic example is people who whine about ganking…yet there’s zero evidence they have ever been ganked.

And likewise with multiboxing. Why is this person whining about multiboxing when there is zero evidence provided that they ever encountered it or were affected by it ?

Who by definition has no experience of multiboxing out in space, either as a multiboxer or on the receiving end.

It’s a consistent theme on this forum…people whine about things yet provide zero evidence they have ever encountered what they whine about.

Does this include miners and mission runers?

The New Halaima Code of Conduct states that multiboxing is fine , but you might require a mixed doctrine permit depending on what ships you use. Bot-aspirant behavior though, is not permitted

Charon | JaguarLee | Killmail | zKillboard here is a freighter ganked by 1 ship, seems the correct play is to leave highsec *wink wink.

Nice try , but ganking only occurs within the domain of Princess Aiko - High Sec

Are you saying their are boundaries to her domain and to her influence? Is this not high treason in and of itself hmmm.

High sec is all that matters. In low sec you have little yapping chihuahuas like @DrysonBennington, in Null, you have the F1 monkey.

That is true, and sometimes the Gods decend from their pochven domain to gaze apon the mighty highsec in its true glory.

That’s not a ‘ganking’, and I suspect the target may have been a suspect or war target as I don’t think the shooter’s Drekavac ( looking at his previous losses of it ) would have survived gate guns at 10km long enough to do 200K of damage. He doesn’t actually have a huge amount of tank.

I think the most damaging aspect of CCP pushing all of us to multibox is simply the fact it totally changes how you play and enjoy the game.
When you fly a solo ship and do it with your friends, you will find the game at its best played this way for fun and immersion. When I am forced to run 7 accounts in fleets, which i do when im active, the game play is tedious, repetitive, and is a total pain to even play. Multiboxing sucks because its not fun. You cant even get into a real group of players without having at least two accounts. This does major damage to the current and future player base. Its a net-negative in my 15 years of Eve experience. There are very few people who are willing to sit and play all day while multiboxing and thats unfortunately the only way for most players to be an asset to the group. Its just another short-sighted failure from CCP to create this environment.
