Why is everyone multiboxing so many accounts now

5 minutes of reading this forum can convince anyone of that, but Multiboxing isn’t going anywhere so I don’t see why all the whining is about.

You’d think, wouldn’t you.

Says who ? Between my various chars I collectively have 1400 killboard kills, 2.7 Trillion worth of destruction, and nearly all of it done without multiboxing. Or does your 7 kills and 21 losses count as ‘success’ ?

You just don’t get it do you?

Someone having a docked up trader alt doesn’t mean they don’t undock on their MAIN account.

They could be a known ganker unwilling to post here because of the grief they’d quite rightly get.

They could be a miner, mission runner, explorer etc unwilling to use his or her main account, and that’s fine.

As I said, having a fixation on killboards proves absolutely nothing about any character who posts on here.

Yes, the killboard can be useful if you know how to query it effectively. For me, important are things like ships, fits and locations. I do not rely on the board as an indicator of a pilot’s overall standing. As you point out, it’s an incomplete and therefore imperfecct resource. Useful if you know what you’re doing.

You really should stop calling people dumb, particularly seeing that you are a blonde, dummy.

There is nothing to ‘get’. I was responding to a load of nonsense and nothing stated since has made it any less nonsense.

Lol. Seriously ? Yeah, like the forum is full of known gankers who mysteriously hide in the dark. Can you save that one for April 1st. Next you’ll be telling me spaghetti grows on trees.

Look what you did, now he thinks that spagheti grows on trees.

And some farmers have more than one tree…which is ‘not fair’ in the Stalinist collective mind.

No not in highsec, not in lowsec, not in nullsec and not in wh. Everyone is always using the strategy to ensure he 100% wins, or he won’t engage. I can tell you that I had much fairer fights in highsec than anywhere else.

Exceptions do exists, but those are stupid and new players you can count on fingers of one hand.

Which mirrors real life, nobody goes to war wanting a fair fight.

If someone specifically makes a point about ‘success’ in Eve then you’d expect them to at least come on in an account that shows some !

They never said they banned ISBoxer, just certain parts of it like the input broadcasting bit. They also used to publish how many accounts had been banned over a certain periods of time, but I can’t remember the last time Team Security put out any news along that front.

But I have no doubt that many players are using other programmes now to multibox fleets because that’s what happens when you perceive that zero action is being taken by the Devs in games. They think they can get away with it…

They’re probably right as well because even in this quiet system where I have been mostly based for years I can see more and more sequentially named fleets coming through, mostly of between 6 and 10 ships. I never used to see any around here.

Maybe CCP are spending too much of their valuable time chasing every suspicion of busybodies who think that the notorious ‘they’ are doing this or that.

All that means is that they multiboxing which is perfectly legal unless it is miners who most definatly are BOTS and must be ganked immediately.

Good Point made though

And it’s been one of the causes for lousy player retention.

That’s what new players feel, that’s why more than half of them leave before they even get ganked while getting ganked is the cherry on the cake.

Sure, if you want to go insane in the process.

You cannot possibly know what (all) new players feel. Stop generalising.

You provide no official metrics in support of this assertion. If it’s just a feeling you have, then say so.

Thank goodness enough of them stay with the game in sufficient numbers to ensure its continued existence. Stay, and become…Multiboxers!

In 2013 my min maxxer German friend had 18 accounts — (and this this back before they utterly destroyed mining and nerfed the game into the ground).

Try going into a starter system…where noobs are multi-boxing several accounts to KB pad and take advantage of the alts to “exploit” (just a word, not an opinion) the AIR system to unlock everything in days.

Do I care? Not at all. It’s just another point in how CPP attempts to make content to encourage community and it backfires and becomes only viable for multi-boxers.

That being said…multi-box on. We all have alts, some just have more than others and can’t think of original names for them. If someone wants to sink ridiculous amounts of money into a game, so be it. It’s their business.

as much as null sec and corp life is supposed to be the mainstay of the game lets face it some people no longer have the time or patience to do whats needed to be a part of it at that point you need multiple accounts to play the game effectively if you are still wanting to move caps about or run industry effectively or even run some of the content as theres no trust in joing public groups only to be awoxed
