Why is the game so complicated?

It’s like those parents who buy their kid an 800 HP sports car for their first vehicle, then 30 seconds after they pull out of the driveway it somehow ends up in flames on top of the Empire State Building….

Congrats you don’t know the game, he got booshed off the station by a command destroyer most likely.

The only way to know the game is to read about all ships and modules.

None of the mechanics is particularly complex there are just lots of them.

Also OP seems to believe in pay to win bringing multiple faction BS to LS solo, but never paid his dues to gain the required knowledge…

i don’t consider that “teleporting” as its what 100km?
teleporting in my definition is going from gate to gate by someone else moving me entirely.. being pushed 100km i don’t consider that teleporting..

Create an insta-undock bookmark, several deep space safe spot bookmarks, and plenty of bookmarks a little over 150km from all the gates. Never warp directly to a lowsec gate…always warp to the 150km bookmark and then you can see what’s at the gate, and 150km is far enough that you can then warp to the gate if its safe. You can create similar bookmarks for the stations. A cheap covert ops fitted ship can create them.

Your ship instantly moves 100km away from the safety of the docking radius to a dangerous spot from where you cannot even warp back to the station you just came from.

I can totally see how someone would call that a ‘teleport’ and be confused about it if they had never heard of booshes before.

I’ve been playing for a long time and I’ve never heard of ‘booshes’…

So just exactly what is it?

Command Destroyers with the right mod (Micro Jump Field Generator) can boosh 100km away anything unscrammed (Friend or foe) within 5km of them. And before anyone gets the wrong idea, anything subcapital… It’s used to boosh people of stations, pluck logis of their fleet or even steal harvester drones.

Now why the hell someone would be in a faction battleship that didn’t master command destroyers…

This is a nowadays basic mechanic that you cannot learn in HS, but basic none the less…

I went thru the OP losses, he’s the poster child for people thinking bigger is better and buying shiny things with RL money. He’s spend half what he’s spending on shiny toys on 100 frigates and going to FW he’d be much better much quicker…

To answer OP, this game is too hard because you have the wrong mindset. There may not be any fix to that.

As Caius said, Command Destroyers with Micro Jump Field Generators that can pull anyone close by along to a location 100km away is commonly called ‘booshing’ and can happen outside HS.

People also can refer to it as ‘spearfishing’ when you manage to chain two booshes to jump into an enemy fleet as well as immediately out of it with a second command destroyer, taking along some enemy ships that can then be killed while 100km out of position of their own fleet, or are incapable of providing remote repairs to their fleet if you managed to spearfish the logi wing.

A rare sight and good display of skill if someone successfully pulls it off.

As of earlier this year Carriers got a capital version of it, the CMJFG, and can do the same thing but then 250km. They can even take along a limited number of sieged capital ships, I believe.

Try mine some Kernite in 0.4, scan the system, know your enemies…

they will scan you, Kernite is a tricky Ore to mine safely….

Or you can try hauling in spec OP ships with interdiction nullifiers or just try

AIR soldiers of fortune, scan data sites in null, Wormholes….

The Tutorials are hard already, but because you are doing AIR tutorials,

usually you don’t lose your ship, but one they give you…

Some of those tuts are so hard I’ve still haven’t finished them yet…

Rattlesnake are tuff boys, but are not Marauders….

if you go in Null sec in a Marauder you will get a LOT of fights…

But you need at least a LOGI help, a navy Commando help, and make a convoy… if you want to

live… there’s Titans over there…. do you think they will let you even get a little bit close to them without a fight???

You’re lucky if you can get by with an Interceptor, but the question you wanna ask is… where are you going???

Looking for Rats and that kind of PVE stuff???

There’s Drones fleets out there to protect their spaces…

you might not know but there could be a drug plant on one planet…

So it doesnt’ matter if you fly a RSnake or a Merlin…

they will hunt you down…

Try Kernite, I Mean, anything with a GOAL…

Wanna do C3 WH RATS?

Then as other said…. go with a Loki, or any other ship with Interdiction nullifier and cloacky stuff…

T3s are the best for those reasons…

And that is why you will be forever loading up the game and deleting it. If you want to fly better and be a predator in Low or Nullsec. Then you have to be willing to stick it out. Gain the experience in flying and fighting in that ship. Join a corp and do the hard dirty work of learning how to fight and survive in a fight.

Every time you delete the game you are putting yourself behind an eight ball. You lose opportunities to learn. Setting yourself up for losing yet another ship and deleting the game once more.

Eve is by design complicated. It is not a sprint to an end game. It is a marathon that only you get to determine what the end game looks like. Whatever that might look to you.

Bro… if you have the skills to fly a rattlesnake, you have the skills to fly a small cloaky ship. If you really want to go look around at stuff, do it cloaked and stay at least 2 km away from everything, or you will be uncloaked. As long as you can be seen in local, you can be found, there’s one big rule in low or null sec as an individual. A. B. C.

Always

Be

Cloaked

Perhaphs he likes it .

Some like ganking , others like mining, he likes installing and deleting the game.

Each time though, he should give me his stuff.

Well he could send it to me too. Even a filthy arms merchant can use Isk and anything else not nailed down. I would even be willing to show up with a claw hammer and pull those pesky nails out as well. Just saying…

To prevent one’s expensive blingy ship from being ganked , it is highly recommended to contract it to Zaera. She will melt your ship and pocket the proceedings to guaranteee that your ship does not get ganked.

I hate to pick on you but still can’t believe you never heard of this?

To everyone else, Everyone Vs Everyone is so complicated by design. It started by pitting the best niche players against themselves. A large arena if you will where players came to see how good they actually were over a large expanse of opportunities. Manufacuring, mining and pvp are all equal in their ferocity. Just some playstyles don’t cost you ships, just loads of isk.

CCP has tamed the game down so much that all it takes to succeed at the game now is a little effort. Something most players are unwilling to do. This is not a game where “I just want to chill with my friends” works.

There are hunters out there with 2 decades of experience. Something you just cannot buy…

How many times has this been said? How many ways? Still you get people like this coming on here, and sometimes on reddit, complaining about the very design of this game?

Acting as though this the game should change to suit what they want. Forgetting that what attracts many players. Is pitting themselves against an unforgiving environment with players willing to battle it out. Here we all are yet again with another player complaining about the same tired thing. It’s to complicated, I keep losing ships (expensive ones), or Why can’t I be left alone… SMH

It takes a mindset one that this poster evidently does not have. A player wanting sympathy for something that had this player been thinking. Would have realized going down to low or nullsec in a expensive ship. It is just inviting everyone in that system to shoot it up.

Instead of learning. The player is uninstalling yet again. Seriously? No sympathy from me, But I hope he send me his stuff and Isk. Even a filthy arms merchant needs to eat.. And a rattlesnake, once I properly fit it, would make a great addition in a fleet.

Hey, Azuleas KURT I found that claw hammer, so I can pull those pesky nails.. What do you say, bud… :winking_face_with_tongue:

I never claimed to know everything about Eve and yeah, I’ve never heard about ‘Booshes’ which is why I asked…

And that’s what I like about this game, doesn’t matter how long you’ve been playing this game, there’s always something new to learn…
