The problem is more one of people stucked in the past and being unable to adapt because change = bad because it would actually CHANGE something(aka THEIR GAME)… and this is the real problem here

I’m not being sarcastic Uta, I have read each post carefully and thought about each one at length. I stay awake at night, your words echoing in my mind. 
“Merry Ragequit…” Your TRUTH haunts me, and I realize now that you have no reason to invent your stories or exaggerate them. It is clear that you are good friends with a dev, perhaps even you are lovers, and they have confided in you that ganking will be gone GONE gone by Christmas. This realization has struck terror and WOE in my heart, but at the same time I have found peace and comfort in finally understanding the fate which awaits all of us. I only hope that I can find a meagre place in EvE Online, perhaps even a kind marauder will allow me to salvage their mission wrecks.

You’ll be the one rage quitting when none of your alleged nonsense comes to pass. I’m quite happy to state for the record that it is nonsense, and that there is a good reason I KNOW with 100% certainty it will never happen.
But in addition to that…the entire design of highsec is based around the creation of certain lower security bottlenecks. To turn all of highsec into 1.0 secutity would make utter nonsense of that design. Not only that, but it would make nonsense of lower security highsec providing better PvE content and stronger NPCs. …and better mining content.
Highsec miners would be up in arms…because they’d now have reduced ore Exordium levels. PvE players in highsec would be up in arms, because there’d now be no reason to pick 0.5 or 0.6 systems rather than 0.9. In short…the whole of highsec would be messed up and you’d have lots of unhappy people…not just the gankers.
Oh…but your ‘friend’ didn’t think of that…lol
