To be honest the only thing I dislike about these type of events is the randomness of the skin rewards. Like, too much to ask for those 9 skins to have several options to pick from rather to be static 9 ships picked by who-knows-how CCP which have a really high chance to be totally useless for some pilots ?
And the booster rewards areā€¦ whats the word ? Most of them will just rot and expire in everyoneā€™s redeem window unless somehow someone actually finds a good use for them, which is like 0.3% of EVE community.

If you know how these events works you will easily find a site, or even a full system with low enough people to complete all sites before moving to a close-by system with more sites.
Also, the combat sites are not marauder exclusive, they are way easier than previous ones due to the amount of enemy ships, the EWAR used against you, with good skills you can run them in a HAC or a bling battlecruiser.

i have a friend that do ALL EVENTS
he omega to do it
buy battleships , blinget cruisers whatever needed
gets a LOOOOOOT of money in them

years ago i did some

nowadays i donā€™t have patience
donā€™t even check the sites or the videos or the CCP news about it

to be honest EVE for me is about having some isk to buy ships and do some solo PVP

Maybe SKINs should show up on killmails (both the victimā€™s and attackersā€™) to increase the showcase further beyond just on the ship itself. :thinking:

I just pay someone else to do the events for me.

No I canā€™t.
Praxis takes Large Turrets, Iā€™m barely done training Medium Turrets now and Iā€™m still waiting for Hybrid Specialisation. Two weeks worth of wait on that.
Plus I need to wait to be able to fit better modules.

Itā€™s ok. Not worried about getting ISK or PLEX. My days of flipping burgers are long gone.

As an explorer, Iā€™m having a great time in lowsec finding tons of sites with 20-50 mil payouts for hacking one can. Maybe you were unlucky or need to get better at the searching and scanning game.

Sometimes a system is picked clean and you literally have to just move one or two jumps over. And then thereā€™s filaments - CCP couldnā€™t have spoon fed you this content harder if they tried (although they couldā€™ve explained the map thing better in event descriptions).

Perhaps if it was made more clear the events are designed largely for the long-time regular players, and something maybe added to give newer players something to do (aside from snowball fights)?

Except that anyone can do them. It doesnā€™t take much to learn exploration, or to be able to mine ice, heck the Praxis is one of the most popular BBs for the combat sites and it does not require as many skills as other BBs do. Ice mining is the most restrictive in that you need to be omega (or have the 3 day expert system that CCP gave everyone).

Perhaps the combat sites are for more advanced players (I have to trust the folks here saying theyā€™re fine too), but I did both the data sites and ice sites with an Alpha clone (you even get a temporary skill boost to unlock ice mining), including in lowsec.

Itā€™s a great opportunity for learning and earning good isk if youā€™re a beginner, but I guess youā€™d rather sit there and complain.

Praxis for new/alpha players could be a rather big step. Especially if you have to deal with how tings work.

Mine ice? you have to be omega. Alphas are left out of this one

Exploration? you compete against the Astero and gnosis group. And alpha/new players do not usually have ready access to T2/Faction gear

Bottom line, its like others had said. if you really want to participate, then you are gonna have to dedicate and spend the up front capital.

Nothing about this event is casual.

If the combat sites were easier, the rewards would also have to be lowered.
You are given 3 days of Expert system for free to be able to mine Ice as an Alpha, more than enough time to complete the track.
Anything in EVE has competition. The existence of better ships does not mean that itā€™s not casual. Find a system with less people, use filaments to move around.
What up front capital are you talking about? Newbros are given exploration frigates for free, and the necessary modules.
