Exordium is going to suck (in terms of wealth creation). And I think that’s the point.

I’m going to sit in my Orca boosting noobs all day. I won’t have to mine anything, I’ll just buy all their ore for 80% Jita price ( being completely safe means no 90% ).

Assuming there’s more than a token amount of mining. This event it took me hours just to accumulate enough ore to complete the mining track on 3 characters; I think I pulled in maybe $150 million ISK for my efforts in a 0.5 system…
So I imagine the mining in Exordium is really going to suck by comparison.

Yeah the idea that mining here is someone going to generate more wealth than a .9 system is kinda crazy. Do you all not see the lack of scordite or plagio during the event? Exordium is a smaller region and isn’t going to magically have more impact than HS already does.

Yep, its really quite astounding what a group of doom mongers will think up when a part of the game is changed. Ive said it many many times but theres just no convincing them.
Im just ignoring all the gloom comments from here on out. They can just let all their ghost theories live rent free in their brains.

Fine with me. At least my life will be easier then. I just wonder when it became forbidden to voice concerns or have them belittled as “doom and gloom”? It is not that many of us don’t have experience how changes that were viewed as minor by some had big impact on the game and others viewed as the obvious best solution had no beneficial impact at all.
I know i can be wrong but also i prefer to discuss and address concerns before things are changed and not afterwards, because afterwards everyone is smarter. But alright…once the dust hast settled and the economic reports show a trend after a few month, i might get back to you.

They’ve been discussed, multiple times now. Continuing to say things are going to be bad is considered doom and gloom. No matter how many times we tell people that FC will be keeping an eye on things, people still bring up the same arguments that have been discussed. If you think we must continue to discuss things, at least bring up why you think there is going to be massive wealth generation.

No one is going to get rich in Exordium. But maybe we’ll see another 10-20% of new players stick around… where they can be properly ganked and scammed, lol.

Probably the mining sites in Exordium will be gate-restricted to ventures the way they already are in the starter systems. That doesn’t change the fact that EVE should not have safe spaces.
To Arthur and also a heads up to @Christine_Creed:
Exordium was opened today. The roid fields are stupidly huge and the first Orca fleets are already in and crunching away.
It is quite crowded. The only thing that is missing are the noobs as they only start spawning upon release of the expansion.
Maybe you two explain your theory of the worthlessness of Exordium space again to me, so i understand it?

They will be mined into oblivion. The way asteroid belts work is that if it is mined out, the next day it respawns with less content. Then if it is mined out again, then next day even less content, and so on and so forth, until the belt is given a chance to regenerate back to full volume…
Maybe you could explain how the space is going to be a massive wealth generation?
