Eve was never like that.
You have been able to be killed upon undocking ANYWHERE in the entirety of EVE since day one. If you are undocked, you are subject to PvP. That has always been the case…

To be honest, what I see is a lot of frogs in a slowly boiling pot of water. They make one change and you say, oh that’s fine. Then another, and you still say oh that’s fine. Then another, then another, then another, finally to the point at which you realize, hey wait a minute, but by then it is far too late…
I’m not sure if Frontier and Vanguard were massive pots - or massive frogs…
9 billion ISK over 10 days? Seriously? How can you be crying about such a small amount in the grand scheme of the game’s total economy?
It’s way too early for you to be taking “I told you so” victory laps. Give Exordium a few months and allow FC time to collect data then police, balance and iterate.
The amount really doesn’t matter. It’s the fact that you can obtain ISK in a perfectly safe environment with zero risk of loss. It’s death by inches. If you are fine with this, then you will be fine when that amount increases, or when FC allows them to stay for 90 days instead of 30, etc…

Is the whole “its not the isk” but the safety really that big of deal to the people that it in no way effects them in the slightest?

It’s already possible and there is nothing they can do about it. Stay 30 days in Exordium on a new toon, collect ISK 100% risk free, roll another free Alpha account, stay another 30 days, transfer the ISK to your main, ad infinitum…
There are two values given for exordium in the MER: An isk estimate of the ore mined, and the m3 of the ore mined.
Only one of these numbers is correct, and it’s not the ISK value.
I really couldn’t care less about the value or volume of ore from Exoridum.

You seem to think FU-UK is going to do something for the game instead of lining their pockets which is why they bought it in the 1st place. And I thought I was naive…
EVE started as a nitch game for serious players. Trying to make it mainstream is a flop. “The game grew to fast.” Boy did that bite them in the ass as now they want players to stay instead of working with a growing player base and wiping out half its player base at the time.
