Tbh I choose claymore because I fly with WTM or I would have gone vulture.
See I am not going to fall into your trap of telling you that the claymore is OP or not. I don’t really care frankly.
It’s not a trap and it is op because facts are facts.
And you can always fly it once you trained the required skills like any ship in this game. 
I have near max boosting skills so it adds to the tank.
It is your opinion that it is OP and I know you will never be convinced otherwise.

As a die hard caldari pilot I am obligated to point out the obvious favor ccp pays to every other faction on a regular basis.
The Nighthawk is equally tanky.
The difference is Caldari is a shield tank/info doctrine. Whereas Minmatar are based on a hit and run doctrine centered around shields.
That’s why Caldari ships are slower vs Minmatar.
Very minor differences overall and both support great areas of gameplay.
Let’s talk about scourge missile bonuses. /s
They are both great missile boats with complementary bonuses. I can’t wait to fly a Nighthawk soon also I am at 78mil SP and all I got left is skilling into these smaller ships.

I appreciate your replies btw but it’s a little weird that the defacto missile faction is so often pigeon holed into a single damage type on many hulls imo.

True missile velocity is not really great for slow npcs anyways. Rather take the 10% ROF on the Nighthawk.

I can remember the days when CCP didn’t have to nerf their favored ships into the ground and use shady spawn wave tactics to force kills but I don’t remember the days when people defended them so damn fiercely.

Sooo, typical modus operandi for CCP…
Players must complete event sites that have a low spawn table filled with overpowered NPC’s that drop worthless loot in order to collect an outrageous amount of Agency points that reward old account-bound ship skins that most players won’t even use…

People here are so into the mindset that EVE is a perfect game that they’re sweating over some random person (me) pointing out the flaws in this dumb event + showing other games that do this event much better.
I posted arguments why this isn’t fun for me, and while some explained how it could work out, most are like “wow bro get out of here lol, you’re not good enough/cut out for this” making it appear like only elites play and ENJOY this game…
Can one find reason between fanatics and fans? Nop. Didn’t even expect to.
Can one find non-toxic pvp mmos? Unlikely.
But guys, i’m happy you have fun with this. I honestly would like for the devs to improve it year over year, not copy paste and call it a day.

I’m aware it’s hard to stop praising the game when you’re a fanatic, which is understandable. It’s like telling an Apple fan to look at Samsung, or the other way around.
You should look into some game design books, they’re pretty good and rather entertaining. It will open your eyes a lot, if you’re willing to have an open mind about your favorite hobby (which I kinda doubt)
The site itself isn’t bad once you know what to expect and it’s kind of fun, bounties and the loot from the BS is decent.
I’m just salty about what seemed to be an unfair hard kill spawn similar to what you get in abyssals.
