'tis ok, I’ve purged series one from my mind; it got loads better when Ben Elton took over the writing.
When the figured out that Baldric needed to be the dumb one and a foil to Blackadder. Made a huge difference.

Your dream to be a pvp machine can be reached without having a 250 million skill point character. Just get yourself a stack of cheap ships find a good group to fly with and go out their and learn real skills and gain experience by doing it.
This is the part that always amuses me about the “new players can’t catch up with veterans argument”. You can have 10 million skill points and be as effective as someone with 300 million skill points in a given ship. Hell if you’ve got the paper to someone’s rock you can beat them with far, far less. It shows a basic misunderstanding of the game mechanics, and that they buying your way to high skill points and a bling fit is gonna result in significant disappointment.
And don’t forget to let us know where you’re flying your P2W blingmobile, so we can come and applaud your skill and cleverness…

I hope you are not too attached to that name, for I foresee a veritable navy of whalers out to harpoon you.
Realistically, experiment with weapon systems and small ships to find out what you like, then train in those to the point you can successfully bait, engage, and win against mission runners who know no better.
