39 loot boxes. -134m ISK (data below). CCP knows this and they have done nothing to adjust the ISK reward ratio. Looks like the rumours are true about the new company which has taken over the game.
As a new player I am really put of since I could have actually made ISK doing anything else.

Even if you did absolutely nothing youād have more ISK than have now after getting the loot boxes.

Every hour Iām not flying incursions and doing this event instead, Iām losing 120M ISK per hourā¦just sayingā¦

So, i spend 75 mil, got 8 milā¦ My friend put 1.2 B into event box, get back 0.27B in unusefull items. Are you still want to make this event?
Andā¦ we got to kill CARRIER on VIP mode. Loot = 1500 ISK = 1.5K ISK = 0.0015 mil ISK. This was the best joke since yearsā¦

Did anyone ever find a Cerebral Accelerator Copy in the loot boxes? I got one as reward for the pointsā¦but as this is buggy, you cant farm points. Last event it was quite easy to get the accelerator copys, but nowā¦do they even drop or is this item just a points reward?

I didnāt participate in the event or do any of the challenges. Yet the NPC rats ganked two Skiffs of mine on two separate days in Hisec while mining a system ore belt. I had combat drones out, but there were 8 of them and they quickly webbed, tackeled, and capped me. Is this normal for the Guardians Gala?
Thanks Uriel, but I thought FOB were structures that you actually had to warp to, not a regular asteroid belt. This never happened to me before, that is not until this Gala started.

Yes FOB has the base itself and pirate mining fleets at the belts that warp out and call in response fleets if you warp to the belt. Also haulers warp between the belts and the base. They also have roaming fleets that bash structures and heard they may also follow you around gates and stations.
Edit: Btw you can use the atrocious The Agency window and filer to pirate strongholds to see if there is a FOB in the system or within the jump range you set.

Thanks Uriel. You pointed me in the right direction. Pirate FOBās apparently have nothing to do with the Gala. I had just not run into them until now. Appreciate the help.

I have to completely agree with the OP. I just spent the first 5 days of the event searching for sites, competing for the boss kills, looting and salvaging wrecks and mining the ore.
It is remarkably stupid that you need 1000 ore to refine 2 units of Chromodynamic Tricarboxyls (assuming 100% refine skills which is impossible).
Turning in tickets yields extremely poor return for the isk and Chromodynamic Tricarboxyl investment. I turned in 40 tickets, spent 520 million isk and handed over 200 Chromodynamic Tricarboxyls (estimated at 200 mil isk on the market) and opened more than 40 containers to get 179 million isk worth of boosters, drugs and 3 Overseerās Personal Effects. The Overseerās Personal Effects made up 129 million of the 179 million isk return on my investment.
The rewards for completing milestones i this event are pretty atrocious as well; the skins are for ships I will likely never ever use.
Finally, the Event activities are bugged; I currently have 2 blank gray boxes where activities should be listed. The remaining two activities are not refreshing; rather the timers on them have counted down to zero and are just blinking zero (and have been for 2 days now).
This is by far the worst event Iāve ever participated in in the nearly 15 years Iāve been playing this game. It is so bad, that I have absolutely no interest in finishing the event. There is nothing in this event that I think is redeeming, whatsoever, and that is truly sad.

Just spent half an hour in a system and not a single site did spawn. Poor event, poorly executed. I am very disappointed.

My first āloot boxā was a āTier 28 Overseerās Possesionsā, which I sold it for 133 million isk. I then made the foolish mistake of assuming subsequent āloot boxesā would also be worthwhile, and lost most of that 133 million paying enormous amounts for what turned out to be cheap junk. More reminiscent of a fairground hustle than an MMO event.

I just opened a 25 Millions VIP Guardianās Gala Surprise Gift and the content was a Synth X-Instinct Booster with a market value of 680 thousands ISK. VERY VERY BAD EVENT REWARD SYSTEMā¦ I am very upset with the 2019 Guardianās Gala Eventā¦
