All those people thinking marauders should be snipers, they were good at point blank range. Now you replace that with what? The ecm will really hurt at close range, especially tracking disruptors.
If CCP devs would be smart, they should have been making different bastions for different roles, and playing around fitting limitations, not nerfing ships themselves.

Marauders can be used as snipers in situations where there is heavy EWAR from multiple opponents expected (like some L4 missions). That is actually a great thing, because it shows their versatility and ability to adapt. In all other situations where neither multiple ECMs nor multiple Damps nor multiple TDs are present, they can be used just like before in ShortRange HighDPS mode. And if you really donât like to snipe even in EWAR heavy environments because you are just stubborn and donât want to adapt anything and just want to fly all and every day with the same unchanged pwnmobile, exit Bastion and burn in Range to these nasty dampeners, jammers, tracking disruptors and shoot them like a normal Battleship would. Yes, Marauders still do a fancy 1000 DPS even outside of bastion and they are pretty fast with an MWD, imagine that.
Activating high-sec acceleration gates should just make marauder pilots automatically acquire a suspect flag anyway. The fact that CCP thinks itâs okay to use ships with this level of ability to grind safe-space PvE is absolutely obscene.
I know what marauders can do, I just dont like CCP doing stupid things instead of expanding possibilities for pilots. They do that change because they want to prolong null pilots engagement in the game if you didnt notice yet, sacrificing options that small gang had in PvP. And I dont like people still thinking that CCP makes good changes to ships or listens to people. No, they do changes for taking more money from players. There is a cycle of nerfs and boosts in mmorpg industry that intends to prolong engagement of people playing it.
They added lances that will make you not able to dock, warp out or jump gate now when hit with it, this isnt OP? People already complain, and CCP didnt want to listen, you know why? This will make CCP more money.
But marauders are stupidly powerful atm so that counters any and all âI donât like nerfsâ reasoning.

They didnt do stupid things. They nerfed a ship slightly that was completely overpowering everything else. And the key features of the ship (insane damage + insane tank for the price of immobility) havenât even been touched.
Yeah? I donât think so. Small gangs usually didnât roam around in Marauders, they got stopped by Marauders because a small gang simply couldnât beat them. They were sooo good at tanking small gangs + projecting all their insane DPS over a huge area + having an incredible mobility with their MJD that most roaming gangs needed to leave the fight as soon as a Marauder was thrown on them. Now this gets a bit easier, even if not by a huge margin.
Also that they are now easier to catch to force a fight is a very good thing for small gangs. Right now a Marauder that reacts fast can leave Bastion statistically after 15sec and then MJD out. Even a fast ship will have problems to warp in, approach land a scram on that thing in time. Going into bastion becomes more of a tactical decision, so the increase in tank and firepower has a price.
I actually like CCP making money, because that means the server will keep on running. Tbh the greatest whiners about all these ânerfsâ are those with mutliple accounts, farming high-tier PvE content and have billions-fat wallets. How ironic. From all people, those should cry the least. They have enough cash and skills to simply fly the next meta doctrine in a very short time. Ah, and lets not forget: Marauders are STILL #1 after the patch. No Faction BS can even come close.

Did they make them harder? Granted I havenât done one since the days you needed to grind standing to have a jump clone. But really no one in their right mind would have risked a marauder doing those worthless missions back then. No wonder Gankers are targeting them.

Of all marauders Vargur was the most balanced if you take the silly multiple anci reps away, Golem was OP because it can tank more than vargur and its missiles always apply, a mini phoenix, and people have short route to cap dred with missiles. But they dont even touch Golem. Silly people. They dont balance things, they unbalance them intentionally!
Now look at what will vargur be, a ship bonused for double tank.

It means it doesnt excel in anything but is all around good.
While other marauders were specifically good in something, but CCP decided to nerf these exceptional traits also, except for some reason Golem was not touched. Golem have exceptional tank.
In this class vargur was the best in being all around good, but not excelling in anything. That means balanced.
Undocking with Bastion is not an obligation, sure unlocks a powerful and strong feature, but itâs not necessary for pvp fleets.

For example, I can fit only one anci armor rep, but why I can fit 3 shield ancis? What is the reason why I can have ungodly levels fo shield active tank? Is that desired? If that was desired, why suddenly nerfing it? Its too op, or it isnt? Who decides that? CCP, and they do a bad job.

Considering golem, definitely my favourite ship for mission running and pve DED sites. Maybe CCP will nerf it too for some reason if they will see it used more in PvP for its tank nowâŚ
Vargur was very good as shield fleet ship for trig hunting, but now the tank will be a lot worse, and peak trig damage can be really highâŚ
I can always use fleet golem I have. That is no issue.
