Zarzakh changes pushed by CSM

Web bubbles, webifiers themselves, and scram bonused ships are easily capable of keeping someone outside of the protection long enough to be an issue. What’s wrong with just putting bubbles on the gates that lead to the ZZ connected systems or the jove gates in null?

Wow, what a time seeing Brisc making a fool of himself lol.

To the others, get this danger zone out of your head, it’s not an issue here, the reaction time of a turtle would be able to get you out of it in time. It’s the player camp with instalock Keres scram and Daredevil web you to standstill which makes you a sitting duck ready to die 15km off the gate.

BTW, I was able to test the gate guns yesterday, well they don’t deserve the name gun, we should rather call them a joke.

Who cares about this stupid bubbles nonsense. Deathless and his group should go around high sec ganking carebares.

Turn around
Put your prop mod on
Get out of the bubble
Warp off

Do you actually play this game?

I’m not the one making a fool of myself. The guy who can’t figure out how to get out of a bubble is the issue.

If the guys camping know what they’re doing, sure, you’re going to die. So bring friends. Expect them. Put your cloak on. Do all of the things anybody who has ever landed in a gatecamp because they weren’t paying attention has to do or die quietly.

More hand waving and ignoring the fact that players will web and scram as soon as you start moving. Try again. How can this be countered?

This doesn’t stop being caught by a bubble inside the death zone, just from being seen, still will die to the environment.

All Brisc and similarly minded CSM and players want is to block and ruin other people’s game, they don’t care if it’s game breaking or cheesy, they want to ruin the gameplay and the player itself. It’s not good enough to be able to bubble everywhere else, they must be able to bubble in a way where death is garanteed and blocks that system’s entire reason for being. Even when presented with the idea of bubbles not able to stick people well within the death zone, it’s not good enough. They will force their way to change the rules to their benefit and to the detriment of new content.

You were complaining about the bubbles, not other people there with tackle. This isn’t handwaving. You’re moving the goalposts now.

If it’s a covops cloak, just turn around and slow burn out. Next you’re going to complain that somebody is using decloak cans to decloak you when you land on the edge, because this is all you do - move the goalposts and complain about something else.

Zarzakh as a whole is gamebreaking as a concept to the null meta, so I’m not going to complain if the big issue we have with it - the unaddressable superhighway for fleets - is capable of being interdicted with the bubble change. That’s a good thing, and hey - if you’re right and this becomes unplayable for the purposes they put the thing in the game for, then they’ll iterate on it.

I have tried to explain how bubbles work to you but you seem incapable of getting it. I know you play mostly in lowsec, but come on dude.

So you really think scrams and webs won’t be with the bubbler? That is just complete nonsense.

No they can’t, you are ignoring the fact they are in the death zone of Zarzakh. This isn’t just some random null sec system. Turning around is going deeper into the death zone, that is a non viable answer. You need to provide actual answers. Warping away while in the death zone, destroys your ship while you are in warp, you have to get to the safe area before warping away. You can’t just warp away and survive.

You refuse to acknowledge compromises where you can still bubble in Zarzakh. Even without that, you can blockade the exits. There are also other super highways, Pochven, drifter holes, regular wormholes. Yes there are different limitations, but so to are there limits to Zarzakh.

You are refusing to acknowledge the very dangers of being in the black hole crush zones. I’ve ran this with other Goon players who have played since 2003 and he agrees that this is game breaking…and he does in fact see your side of things there can be compromise.

You turn around and warp off. This is not a hard concept.

I’m done with this conversation. I can explain basic concepts but I can’t understand them for you. Feel free to keep complaining and pinging devs. I hope it works out for you.

You will still take damage while in warp as you warped while in the death zone. You have to initiate warp while in the safe zone to be safe while in warp.

I need more popcorn.
This thread is hilarious.
CCP gives us a pretty new toy to play with. One that’s a little different to what we’re used to and people start losing their minds.
I have to admit, I’m not a huge fan of the concept of no bookmarks, but I can think of a few workarounds.

Oh, and @Brisc_Rubal has done more for this game than the rest of the posters in this thread combined. I trust him more than the rest of you to represent players interests.

I will have to test it, but this may further make hauling and supplying to Zarzakh even more untenable. If CCP wants this to be a locus of activity there needs to be a way to supply needed goods either for use in system or as a trans-shipment hub.

Why? All haulers can be nullified. The only problem is with small fleets or solo players moving with combat ships. The 100 F1 pusher Goon or Init fleet will not have an issue with bubbles. Also people living there won’t have a big issue, assuming a critical mass of pirate aligned players are there.

As I see it, there are several groups of players that have several problems/issues:

Null sec groups (no matter the size) have a problem with the connections that Zarzakh offers between Curse and Venal with their neighbour regions. The connection with Placid and Metropolis with their neighbour regions seems to be considered less or no issue. The size of the Jovian gates makes it impossible to interdict any travel reliably without setting up a lot of anchorable bubbles.
Zarzakh redrew the map and null sec is worried that it can be used/abused with moving subcapitals around the map without any serious drawbacks or counterplay, at least not at this point in time.

I agree that this is a massive change to nullsec and that they should have an option to interdict or at least limit the impact of mobility that Zarzakh currently offers. However the option to do something about this mobility should be on the side of Nullsec and not within Zarzakh.

As others have pointed out, there are a very limited number of vectors that ships can use within Zarzakh. That means that movement can be predicted and the combination of bubbles, wubbles and long range web ships does create a very unwelcome situation when adding in the deadzones in Zarzakh. Alternatively, a groups of smartbombing battleships can mean certain death as you can’t avoid them. The ‘sentries’ would have an impact, sure. But if you rotate the pilots and battleships, that’s still effectively a no-go zone. Both situation would favor big and well organised groups to effectively take control of who can enter/move around within Zarzakh. It could easily result in the Deadless supporters being unable to even get setup within Zarzakh and organise themselves. They will have to deal with both FW and Null sec; entities that are well established and organised allready. If we look at Pochven, there is a clear example of what happens when new content is added to the game in which well established and organised groups are taking out groups that are still establishing themselves and getting organised. It can be so assymmetrical that by the time it would get itterated on, it would allready be too late.

The new content is setup to be a race and not an endless tug-of-war. That means that if you have to deal with several hurdles before you can even begin, it’s not looking good for the content. The Deathless supporters will have to deal with wardecs against 2 millitia and restricted movement within the highsec of 2 Empires with just how the content is designed. Add in nullsec groups in the mix and it can get too difficult quickly and you’ll end up with a repeat of what happend to those who have sided with EDENCOM and to a lesser extend those who sided with the Triglavians. And that was not good for the game at all.

I feel that bubbles and wubbles should not be allowed in Zarzakh in it’s current state yet. Give the Deathless supporters time to at least get settled within Zarzakh and organised with supplies and logistics.

I’m looking forward to bubbling and killing carebears in Zarzakh.

I think that this change is stupid. If you want to limit projection, just increase the gate activation cost if a lot of people use the gate in a short period of time, especially if they have bad pirate status. Or get creative in other ways.

The turn around and warp out thing is also really funny, you know that a dictor is faster than most ships and will just bubble you again while having bulkheads fitted and will die slower to the deadzone than whatever ship you are flying.

The damage is percentage and exponential, but doesn’t care about hull strength changes, like bulkheads. It kills you in less than 60s after you break warp invuln when you don’t have bulkheads, faster than that if you have nanos.

Also, I hope CCP, if they really do introduce this stupid change, give ships retribution timers for bubbling. Otherwise, bubblers can happily camp Zarzahk, land me in the deadzone, but when I try to remove them I get ■■■■■■ by the NPCs and ECMing Gateguns.

Btw funny that Zarzahk gets nerfed but not ansi plexes.

Zarzakh could serve as a low-sec Jovian system or a low-sec hub for the Deathless. In this setup, we’d maintain a bubble and bomb-free environment.

For years, people have expressed their desire for more freedom to move about. Now that we have the chance to offer that, why would we backtrack on it?

Let small gangs pass
