You do realize that a Dev team is made up of a lot of different type of devs right? so Artists aren’t going to be working on code and such ![]()
Just saying… it’s not a good publicity to update the in game store in the news if the game is not working
Have never seen a games company refer to a patch as something that’s only possibly going to work like this before. Guess it’s the friendly / honest communication approach?
Comes across as if your mate has just popped round to have a go at fixing your gas boiler and is now trying to reassure you that it probably isn’t going to explode later on.
Still, If the mechanic thats just fixed your car says ‘If I’ve done it right the wheels shouldn’t fall off on the drive home’ I’m not sure that would inspire much confidence.
damn , you know my mechanic ? this is exactly what he said to me…
Will be home in errr 4 hours is the game working to some acceptable level?
Working fine.

It’s not, but you can’t dscan a ceptor fleet long enough to get out. There is a big difference between lowsec and nullsec, you don’t get a ceptor fleet roaming in low.
Null isn’t supposed to be easy, but there is a difference between easy and impossible.
Try to get out in a vni/porp/proc from a ceptor using dscan only and then let me know
Honestly, at this point I’d expect them to re-roll to the old system and solve the known issues on the new one. I mean, as a game dev, if I was faced with this issue, I’d record as much data as I can, and then reroll to the old system, solve the issues and then use a maintenance to get the new chat system back, if there are any more issues, record and repeat.
Every devs got their way of doing stuff, but it does takes a while, and most people won’t get their caps/blingy sub-caps out while not having enough intel (local is a really important part of nullsec life), that without talking about the huge amount of ceptor fleets that are coming in the pocket. You can’t dscan someone while he’s holding cloak on the gate, so you can’t really get out in time, if a ceptor already knows your location and is in-warp to you
So you would prefer a a slight delay to local something like as you de-cloak rather than no local? Giving scouts some time to d-scan around a little and assess the situation before becoming known that he/she is in local.
Local is still delayed in systems with more than 50-100 players.
Mines been instant with 200 players? Maybe it depends on your line speed which is not fair either
100mb ftw
I also have fiber. I logged in with 2 chars in the same system… one had 4 ppl in local the other 2 … after 30sec both had 4ppl. This 5min ago. So it does not depend on ping or connection speed
Maybe just a bug, I have never seen this before but you never know.
I’m pretty sure you missed my actual response.
I said I prefer a non-delayed local, like it was before this new system, so when a ceptor gets in the system, I can start the warp-off before he knows about my existence, so by the time he warps to me (which is fast, as most ceptors are at about 8AU warp speed) I’d be already 60-65% speed and aligned.
It’s already hard to get off a ceptor, as bubbles don’t help and they are fast, having intel delayed is pretty much asking for 24/7 ceptor fleets, like what’s actually happening right now. I doubt you’d enjoy having to fight 200+ ceptors without knowing about them. PVP is fine, but when you can’t undock your pve ship to make some isk for a pvp ship, because there are at least 50 ceptor fleets roaming the whole nullsec, that’s really bad.
At least, that’s my opinion.
Understandable, but at the same time if you are the ceptor pilot and you warp randomly to an anom and get lucky do everything perfectly and you find that by the time your there the enemy has long warped off, only way you can see that someone has been there is the wreck’s left on field and half npc’s left, so left as it is currently is not optimal, it should be at least a little closer.
Not to mention that most ratting systems have scouts in the nabouring systems and as soon as your seen there the ratters already dock up before your in system most of the time.
P.s. Ceptor pilot as in scout not whole fleet of ceptors.
Have you considered looking for PvP with other people who are also looking for it?
Most people don’t fight fair numbers so if we bring 6 people they will only fight if they are 20 and so on… was solo sitting on a gate in null with my wolf and 3 pandemic horde just sat there tethered looking at me in similar ship’s, they only engaged when they had 5 more guys warp in afterwards.
