Nothing is impenetrable ā¦ although they do try to prevent it. This type of attack to my knowledge, wouldnt target the launchersā¦ but rather the servers themselves.
The launcher has nothing to do with DDOS or anything of the ilk.
The launcher is part advertising tool, part account manager.
It stores your username and password (or perhaps just a token) and generates another login token to be used when logging in. So that way your credentials are not sent to the server (but eh, they are still sent to the SSO server so I am not sure how thatās all that much different)ā¦
Anyhow.
Anything that they do to the software on YOUR computer will have NO IMPACT on how they can stop DDOS from reaching their servers.

Well my launcher is finally working after a force restart and my PC saying that itās sorting out some updates
My launcher is dling some files so hopefully after thatā¦ crosses fingers.

It just takes time for the data streams to catch up and everyone be collecting new data! After the couple files I dld, it worked first go. cheers! Whoever attacked CCP, you are a dick, I hope you get assburgers or somethingā¦

no it is not have not been able to connect since server restart
I hit log inn from launcher, so i get log in screen, so i chose one of my characters and after few moments of black screen i get Connection Lost ( The socket was closed ) .

I am expiriencing just black screen after selecting a character. I am using Deian 8 and ccpās linux launcher
Iām getting a black screen every time I select a Character on any of my accounts - My brother at the same location using a Steam Login is able to connect
And its been like this past few hours, I give up ā¦
