2018/04/28 - 11:28 UTC - Connectivity Issues - DDoS Attack

WOW going to do my kill board a whole ■■■■ load of good, locator agents sent on all those that cant log in LOL with supposed ships still in space hahahaha

No it isn’t.

well i am logged in so no problems ther

I’ve tried that already, it didn’t work!

well the only reason it wont work is because they are not logged in in space or were not in space when the system crashed, even when they said they were. hmmmm food for thought

hmmm I ran CCLEANER on my whole computer before restarting it … maybe it helped.

Someone with madd skillz in DDoS attacks that got banned?

CCleaner is good software for cleaning up the registry, clearing cookies, defragging, uninstalling apps, and managing startup processes, but the only thing that will help remedy this situation is time. EDIT: also, the ********s seem to have given up, still wouldn’t undock in LS or 0.0 though.

well it looks like time was good to me because i had the same problem as everyone here, restarted my rooter, and then ran ccleaner, and restarted my computer, and everything worked fine … steam had forgotten my account and i hat to redo the login process and voila, im in …

31,000+ players online, yet I’m still getting a socket closed since this morning’s “all clear”. Just like last time, it took 8 hours plus before it let me back in. What is the secret 31,000 people know that I don’t?

I have a client running normaly in a notebook and other client ina desktop which i cant login no matter what i do…both are in same router and same acees to internet…weird…

That number isn’t accurate during a DDoS attack. And those few who manage to log in were unable to play because of the stress on the server anyway

I am finally in.

The servers are running fine, I am actualy playing.

I am back online.

At the character select screen, I used ESC > Reset settings > Clear all cache files. I then logged out and shut down my computer, my router and my modem.

After a few minutes I booted everything back up and was able to get back on the game. See attached screenshot for where I had cleared the cache.

This may or may not have been what finally got me online, but it’s worth a try.

Just tried this, still not working in wales, UK. Socket closed.

Same here socket closed!

o/ Luke…
Like you, many of us are naturally curious about that, however, CCP not telling us is actually a great security measure, if they were to tell us what type of attack, it would be the same as saying “hey world, we’re susceptible to (insert type of attack here)” and I’m fairly certain that no one would want that type of message broadcast on the open internet.
