OK, we do pay for time, we all know that there are “standard” reboots everyday at the same time. Massive distributed servers do this routinely, in sequence with 0 downtime. EVE is “different” as a real time DB it lives in a special part of the server world, pulling the cluster out of reach-ability is a requirement to get a safe reload. By safe I mean with minimal faults. Databases suck, that is unfortunately just the way it is.

ok so if you dig it’s there. But would it not be a better idea to also have the news prominent on the day of deployment with Estimated downtime as headline.
TBH when i saw the article down I didn’t think it applied to me, because i don’t own or use an outpost. ( still relatively new to it all )
