This is the answer:
Interesting enough, will CCP accept responsibility for DDOS-ing themself?!
When you enter a system, it has to look up EVERY player’s bounty
so when you entered x47, 5000 bounty calls for every player! DDOS!!! yay

DDoS attacks don’t necessarily have to come from all over the planet simultaneously.
When a lot of attacks come from a particular region then the defense mechanisms in the region will jump into action and filter some of the outgoing traffic. Other regions may decide on their own to filter their incoming traffic and to filter in particular the traffic from the region the attacks are coming from.
In other words, when one is trying to connect from a region from which many of the attacks originate from then one is also more likely to be affected by the counter measures, because one ends up trying to connect to the destination over the same routes the attackers are using.
It’s about EVE regions!
Epic facepalm
Are you seriously that fuckin stupid…
It’s about EVE regions!
Epic facepalm
Right back at you. What do EVE regions have to do with DDoS?
That’s exactly the point!
CCP Falcon said it all when he rushed onto the Goon stream yesterday to try to save face. He said something like “now a lot of people won’t be able to log in.” It’s not a surprise to them at all that when they turn on the DDoS mitigation many innocent customers are blocked.
CCP is making a choice here: to value stability for the many over stability of the few. I understand the decision, but I’m not sure exactly what I’m supposed to do? I’ve contacted CCP with the information they requested, but I’m not going to call my ISP because CCP knowingly, and to some extent intentionally, blocks me frequently. And I’m not going to use a VPN to just to connect to EVE. I’ve been able to log in about half of the last week now.
At this point, I think the proper response is for me to move on. CCP doesn’t seem to want me as a customer at this moment in time. How else should I read a game company consistently, intentionally blocking me from logging in?
Sounds like the Goons still won, even with Ncdot and PL resorting to DDoSing. Impressive!
Let’s not hurry to conclusions and blame NC/PL, it could also have been that Darkness corp, the one where the leaked chat logs revealed their directorsship bragging about it.
Still cant login… frustating!!!
Chat logs can be altered. This isn’t a court of law so there’s all sorts of ways to fabricate or manipulate something to appear as evidence. This is part of the meta game I don’t care much for. Manipulating and spinning stories in game is fine. But this DDOS is something out of game. It also negatively affects players across the board.
Some weasel or small cluster of them are doing this to grief everyone on all sides just for grins and giggles.
It’s like the person who pulls a fire alarm for fun.
Is there any1else not able to login? or did i win the lottery ticket?

You’ll probably already did reset your PC I’m guessing. Did you reset your router yet? If not then turn it off for 2 minutes and back on. Maybe it’ll give you a new IP address. If this doesn’t help then how do you feel about using a VPN? Think you can set one up or maybe need some help?
“I Survived the Goon DDoS of 8/8/18”
The Goons had nothing to do with any DDOS attack. They had every thing to do with blowing up that Keepstar. The Goons/ Imperium and Legacy won’t need a DDOS attack to blow-up your Keepstar. Fly safe - Feel safe - Until the Goons arrive.
