Socket losses just keep going on and on and on. 
Has there been any update on the situation ?
I want to run some fleets after DT but i donât want to take the chance of half or all my logi squad DCing.
Thereâs already been a big DC once this morning near Amarr.

Itâs open-source and your traffic is encrypted. You can check it out or spread FUD. Your choice.
I donât know the specific program, but OpenSource doesnât automatically equal safe. Someone would need to actually read and vet the code. Then youâd need to check wether the ready-to-use bundles are indeed coming from the original source. Itâs a lot of work and itâs unlikely that anyone did this.
Also the data send through the tunnel canât be considered safe, even if the program doesnât contain any malware. MITM attacks on SSL encrypted traffic are a thing and a malicious VPN provider is the best way to get it done.
edit: anyway, VPNâs are certainly a good choice when your ISP is being blacklisted.

The EVE launcher uses SSL as does your browser. None of your passwords are being transmitted as plain text. Not over your normal Internet connection nor over a VPN. The VPN itself encrypts the traffic just in case anything sensitive does get transferred.
When you then donât trust it then donât use it.
with other words, the VPN owner can see everything before it gets encrypted ^-^
sorry dude but i losr 2 times accounts due to VPN and since then trust i VPN not longer.
firstone was a WoW acc which got recovered from blizzard and the 2nd one was long ago a ragnarok online acc.
The launcher and the browser use SSL. Your VPN is not going to see anything.
If you lost your accounts then it wasnât because of an insecure connection. It will have been, because your PC itself was insecure, or maybe you shared your passwords with someone you shouldnât have shared them with.
Services should now be returning to normal.

This is getting ridiculous now. Does your DDOS mitigation not work? Server can barely stay up, constant Socket disconnects, and itâs getting worse.
I darenât do anything involved (Abyss for example) or I will lose a ship. Makes the game unplayable⌠have you milked the cash cow so much now, you donât care. Thanks.

Getting the old boot here as well.
Makes me feel like an idiot continually trying to log in even knowing that I will just end up getting socket closed again shortly after. Kind of makes it a bit ânot worth itâ.

The issue is that a malicious or faulty VPN provider/program can open the gates for a âMan in the middleâ attack on your SSL encrypted traffic. Just a quick example:
You <-SSL-> Attacker <-SSL-> EVE
In such a case (taken a successful attack), youâd think you have an ssl-encrypted connection to EVE, but really you have on to the attacker and the attacker has one with EVE (in your name). Not saying this is happening, but it could be.
Also, I took a quick look at the link you provided. Not sure about it. I donât like the overly advertising language that is used. Itâs bettter to inform people realistically than to give them a false sense of safety. Also, it uses a custom protocol and it isnât maintained by a large group of people. Thatâs certainly a possible source of error. Their protocol also allows the use of long outdated ciphers. This is not meant to be a real assessment, but if anyone is looking for a VPN, there are better alternatives.
