Iāve had issues with stability yesterday before and after DT however several hours later it all seemed to have cleared up and stopped getting socket closed
K, my 2 cents worth.
2 indentical machines, built at the same time for myself and my son, same OS same updates, we are both on the same router within feet of eachother, during the fight i DCād at least 3 times while he didnāt.
both machines set to potatoe mode, even though they are pretty up to date machines, sabertooth z97 mark ii
16 GB of ram running the OS on SSD ( samsung EVO 860ās << not cheap at all )
log in time was very delayed, yes eventually youād get back in, but usually find a lack of inputs working or you got the dreaded emergency warp (system picking up you DCād and itās trying to warp ya ship to safety) even though you are seeing the grid and all seems to be loading ok the game thinks you are not logged in?
so how would a DDOS effect me and not him?
also i logged a few of my alts in without issue ( they where in other systems ) they logged in instantly.
sure looks like a node issue.
so how does a DDOS attack only effect one node?

16 days without the ability to stay connected for an hour

Iām in rural Australia running Eve off a 4G connection using a Telstra SIM. Itās normally fast but for the last 6 or so hours Iāve been unable to connect or stay connected for long. My failover is on the Optus network which is normally a lot slower but at least I can connect to the server.
Iām guessing different IP blocks being used by the 2 ISPs are bing handled differently by CCPs DDoS āsolutionā?

The good thing is i cant log in to account management to renew my subscription when it runs out. So i will likely win eve

I use Siggy a lot too and itās suffering so I imagine the problem, whatever it is, is widespread.

Submit a ticket and all they did was to ask for info (tracert & ping) more than 28 hours agoā¦ like if they donāt know what is the problem.

Soā¦ Since I lost my Gila in the Abyss to this āDDoSā crap, I decided yesterday evening to go run some Data/Relic sites. I managed to stay connected for over 7 hours on two accounts without having any connection issues. Roughly 50 minutes before downtime I got the āSocket Closedā pop-up and I was able to immediately re-connect without having to wait or do any other weird stuff like āremove account and re-addā. One thing I did differently while I was playing isā¦ I had the āHelp Channelā open. According to someone here on the forums, if you join the help channel you will maintain a constant connection and reduce the risk of experiencing āSocket Closedā.

Iām now at over 36 hours without connection or communication from ccp, been locked out since dt saturday morning. Nothing as much as a āhey weāre aware thereās a problem, and weāll get to itā. Are you too busy with the AT to even look at our tickets?

Itās not fair to ban ours IP just to protect the AT, I mean, what is the worst that could happen to CCP brand image if suddenly half of the players went offline during a brawl ?

You see that a lot account got unblocked at the same timeā¦ right now i can log in alsoā¦ letās hope that this does not happen again the next week.
Hope all you want, I can pretty much guarantee it will happen again if thereās something going on that CCP doesnāt want interrupted.
