Indeed, the cause for this is what Virgin Media UK’s network administrators need to find. This is not happening to other players.

Not all hops respond all the time; it’s very difficult to actually catch the issues happening in the trace route results.

Your connection should directly to Cloudflare’s colo in Manchester (and from there on Cloudflare’s backbone to TQ in London); not to Amsterdam as this trace route shows. This is at least one of the things Virgin Media needs to fix.

While i respect this thread was originally opened with regards to the UK specifically. I have raised a support ticket containing data on my issues from Australia for the purposes of diagnosing further cloudflare issues.

For context i have been disconnected every fifteen minutes for the last two days since 2022-02-25

i’m pretty sure that @CCP_Explorer mentioned in another thread that if you are having the same issues, then please create your own thread about this, and leave this one for UK only.

It looks like they’ve screwed up the routing for some reason. With that said, it has been much more stable for myself today with only 3 disconnects so far.

I just had 4 consecutive disconnects upon logging in, within seconds. logged in again and haven’t disconnected for 5 mins. it is really annoying

Update: had a couple of discconects while playing managed to relog in. then it stayed stable for 25 mins approx, then disconnected again. it seems to be random completely

Had 3 disconnects approx 15, 20mins apart, tried to run trace and site unavailable.

Not sure if this is of any significance server-side, but for the first time since these issues i’ve had two accounts logged in at once and only one of them dropped just now.

Still getting multiple disconnects today, nothing more from VM on their thread

Yep…today has been horrendous so far - 5 disconnects in just over an hour. Reported to VM :unamused:

Hi Everyone

I have also been disconnecting frequently over the last few days and it was fine before. I sent them a ticket as well. In the mean time I am using a VPN this helps me stay connected to Eve and at least I can still ice mine a little, it is a temporary solution until they can fix this.

Where are you guys raising this support ticket with VM? I’ve tried calling VM to raise it and they just bounce me about between departments until they decide that there isn’t an issue, which is understandable as their general technical support won’t be able to help.

Stupid question but how do you raise a support ticket with VM, is it a complaint?

My only experience with VM issues is when my broadband goes out (doesn’t happen much) and I have to call them up; they then get you to reboot your hub, then book an engineer for you because the reboot didn’t do anything, then the engineer booking gets cancelled a few days later because the issue was actually at their end and they fixed it.

I was gonna ask that question how do you raise a support ticket with VM? The only options I got was to call them, nothing to leave a message for technical support.

I don’t think you can - or at least i found no obvious way to raise a ticket - instead i posted to the VM forum thread relating to the issue - there’s a thread with 4 pages of EvE player posts so far at Eve Online Connection Issues (Fault Ticket = F0096... - Virgin Media Community - 4951509.

A VM rep has stated in the thread that they have raised an internal ticket for it but with no updates or a link to see the ticket status.
