Is CCP going to comp us Omega time for gross technical issues and refusing to comment?
Anyone?

CCP your last two patches killed locals and chats, someone has proplems with hangars and items. What is the problem to backup this last two patches and test them? Is it so difficult for you?
Just wow.
In January 2019 you said we’d roll back to in-house servers if chat problems persisted.
That was 4 years ago.
Since then it’s been problem after problem. Different problems, maybe, but it’s been a constant battle and now nobody trusts Local chat.
GG.
What a mess!
are we gonna be compensated for the inconvinience somehow? “cough” “cough”
i mean since the game is pretty antisocial atm with most chats not working we could get compensated all the skills in “Social” tree trained to 5.
Happy 20 years everyone! lol
the Q in CCP stands for Quality Assurance
the competence level of the people responsible for this is beyond repair
why didn’t you consider testing whatever change you made there before releasing it?
will you reimburse the trillions of losses of poor >50% snuggly people that die every day because of this?
the last “blackout” halved players numbers quickly
this could finally kill the game
are you even aware?
20 Years in Space. 20 years using the same code. Welcome to EVE Online.
Running text chat as a standalone service with an industry standard protocol opens up new future of possibilities.
-and opens up a future of new problems
The current chat runs still on Amazon servers, right? So there are multiple issues…
dependencies like jabber/xmpp or configuration stuff with the servers could be a problem. Probably it’s all running in some cloud like a completely black box nobody knows how to deal with or what the problem actually is especially if some devs who worked on it are not part of the team anymore.
I would really like to see what the solution to this problem is. I really wonder how the “industry standard” can look that bad honestly.
Like building a reliable, scalable chatserver that sends stuff over TCP/TLS should be like a very easy task to solve and not require such jabberish things for people that figured out how to have spaceships battle each other on a massive scale
This also doesn’t work too well, I switched character to another in the same system and can see the previous one in the list
these 2 are on the same account, notice that the alt I logged off from is correctly marked as offline (red dot)
Using “new local” on two separate characters in the same system. The Character List is different on each character.
I enabled this Opt-in local chat sollution and it’s also broken. I’m seeing 2 of my alt characters in it, from the same omega account that’s logged in, which are obviously logged out.
In my opinion it would be best to take the game offline untill it’s actually fixed and compensate the omega accounts for the time the game was unplayable.
4 days now, and it’s still broken. Is CCP determined to burn this game down?
0.0 is dying, because people aren’t logging on.
If the plan was to drive away more customers, working as intended.
I’m old enough to remember when Eve said if the local chat change doesn’t work we can always roll it back… well…

No. The game is playable. Local chat just isn’t working as intended.
For at least the people living in null sec it actually ís unplayable
if you require local to play then you need to ask yourself if you are actually a person or a literal krab
you dont need local to play in null, man up, use d scan and communicate with your alliance using external tools like people already do
No…it is playable…just slightly more dangerous.
