@King TUT…
May your reign be long and mighty and may you spin your skinned ship in station for as long as the forum’s are quiet…
Sadly Bud - It doesnt make for a lot of content, not even on the RP side.

GOOD GOOD
Lizzard people to support the Reptilian conspiracy theory!
One change, I would like to see a shift from using external sources such as patch notes and messages on the support system as the sole way to teach players changes in how modules etc work and instead bring that information in game.
To be clear I don’t want them to stop giving us patch notes, I want changes in the game to be replicated within the in game knowledge so new players have a better chance of learning it before making a silly mistake if they don’t want to read hundreds of patch notes going back to the dawn of time.
For example, pointing someone stops them from docking at an up well structure. Nothing in the warp scrambler or warp disruptor item description tells a player they can do this, so only those that read the patch notes get to make use of this secret power unless they happen to just try on the off chance and figure it out for themselves.
Didn’t know that. Is this something new or it was like that since upwell structures were introduced?
Btw yes agreed having an actual in-game database / encyclopedia / learning material / wiki / guides would be very helpful.
This is one of the benefits of the Steam overlay through which you can look up Steam guides without leaving the client, though it blocks interaction with the actual game at the same time so far from optimal.
Back in the days there was the in-game browser which was removed for security issues (at least what I’ve read as the reason) so maybe CCP could re-implement it in a way similar to the Steam overlay which only lets you open links pointing to the Steam community content (at least as far as I know) thus if the content is limited to trusted sources (in this case even curated / hosted / maintained by CCP thus they can be sure it is safe) it could work without posing a risk to the game and its players yet still provide the benefit of having access to a knowledge base within the game itself.
It was introduced and the information is only in external sources. I actually raised a ticket asking for this information to be provided in game to benefit newer players and the answer was “it’s that way by design”.

Indeed but that’s still relying on external sources. When new players have to look up eve Uni and trust that it’s up to date in order to learn a mechanic in game.
As I wrote the source should be maintained by CCP itself so not relying on third-parties is the point (both due to security reasons and for the reason you mention: accuracy and reliability).
Btw just for reference this is how the Steam overlay looks like:
Maybe with the option of opening several instances of it if the player wishes so, again much like as in the case of the “show info” window.
I would like to see a shift from using external sources such as patch notes and messages on the support system as the sole way to teach players changes in how modules etc work and instead bring that information in game.
So in the past CCP has indicated they want things in the game such that “players have to discover things for themselves”. Theoretically I suppose this may create a situation where specialized knowledge is used to achieve various ends. (Although of course, some people say it’s simply because CCP is too lazy and wants an excuse for why so much info isn’t included in the game.)
Practically this simply means that all the info is recorded somewhere, outside the game, and any player who wants to ‘do well’ at EVE also has to master the process of searching out multiple sources of info on the web and alt-tabbing ini-game/out-game whenever they need updated info. So basically spending a lot of EVE time not immersed in EVE, not “in the game” and subject to ads and distractions and links from multiple sources. Which most likely leads to less EVE interest.
However I don’t think CCP is the best creator of this content for two reasons - if they’ve never done it before, they aren’t likely to do it now. And also because it is kind of interesting to have special knowledge shared between players.
How about if, instead, CCP implemented a kind of internal knowledge base that players maintained themselves. This could be implemented as a sort-of Wiki knowledge tree based out of the ‘Notes’ app, with the twist that access could be pegged as Account, Corp, or Alliance.
There would also be an additional ‘notes’ tab on any “Show Info” page that would again hold notes added by self, corp or alliance.
This might encourage some interaction, some corp/alliance benefits, and allow for more “in-game” immersion in accessing the knowledge of other players.
POS
You guys, please excuse me, but didn’t they phase POSs out? Seems like they were working on that last i checked…
As I understand he meant like a new deployable to be implemented.
Be careful what you wish for. The lowest common denominator may not be who you think.

You’re 100% correct, that’s exactly what I meant…
Simple 3 steps…
All of the above are totally ignored.
How so?
Content bud…
It’s really that simple - Jita is CCP’s new Vision sadly…
Content? What type of content?
You just named other market hubs so I’m confused.
Jita ain’t exactly new LOL.
Sounds good but easy to get around. And some people play with family, that would suck for them.
