Ahoy!
(TL;DR: Lonely pilot seeks partners for long walks on alien beaches, ISK, and homicide; details below.)
Please help me to enjoy Eve again. I’ve been living recently as one of those weird, anti-social, nomadic hermits that your mother probably always told you to stay away from (to be fair, it’s true: we might attack you for no reason, and we do have ALL of the cooties). But, I’ve kind of hit a wall as far as what I’m going to learn on my own without getting some more group experience first. And, well-- I’m honestly just bored, and I don’t really have any currently active eve-friends.
I’m interested primarily in pvp and exploration. I’m not really interested in a FW corp, and am not really interested in being primarily just another on-call F1-monkey. I have some WH life experience (lived in a couple of C3s), and wouldn’t mind returning to it if I find the right group. I have some nullsec experience, but it wasn’t particularly pleasant the first time around-- though, it was long ago, and I’ve learned a lot since then, and I’m sure that whatever the “right way” to do it was, I wasn’t doing it… I can fly most small to med ships or t1/faction battleships, can fly t3 cruisers, have covops and good scanning skills, have some experience in pvp (and in how to suck at it). I was inactive for several years, have been active again for about the last year or so, and have really learned a lot more about how eve works this time around-- but I also know that I still have a lot to learn. I have good combat skills, show me how to use them better! Let’s break all the things!
I’m looking for a sustainable home (in descending order of preference: wh or ns, ls, thoroughly chewing a glass brownie, hs) with a corp that:
-will not subject me to endless (or preferably ANY) CTAs (exceptions made for emergency home security)
-would rather help a person learn than ridicule them for not already knowing something
-has their s*%@ together, has active members, and isn’t going to disband or become a ghost town in a month
-has and respects a RL-comes-first mentality
-has a healthy blood-lust, and likes to break other peoples’ toys, preferably in small or small-ish gangs
-understands that sometimes I need to take time to make some ISK; my ideal corp has recommended methods in place for ISK-making and doesn’t mind showing the new blood the ropes (or at least where/what to look for when on my own)
-is most active late-night US through AU TZs
-is relatively (or entirely) drama-free
-understands that there are those occasional days that I’ll just wanna do my own thing
-can help me to find a good balance between pew-pew and cha-ching in accordance with local customs
I am willing to:
-fly/train to fly any doctrine ship (chances are that I can already fly it if it’s a t1 battleship or smaller), especially if you hand one to me
-be a part of the group and do what I can to help when I can (within reason, ofc; I can help with things like scanning sigs/chains and pruning bookmarks, updating pathfinder, listening to your story about how you ate a bunch of pills and murdered a homeless person last night, and offering a heart-felt response-- whatever, really)
-be self-sufficient and/or contribute to corp isk-making ops
-do some fairly unsavory things for a klondike bar
-be on coms for fleets/ops
-submit a full API to the right corp
