so if none of this actually helps, why are you so riled up about another item in the game that “does nothing”?
Unless they are complete idiots or new players, no, you won’t catch a filament user. Just like you’ll never catch a cloaky camper who isn’t AFK.
You’re saying that like it’s an arguement for you, but it really is one for us.
Or do you think that’s good, too?
So, don’t you think it’s bad game design if filament users cannot be caught?
Shouldn’t EVE have risk for everyone?
Also leave cloaky campers out of it, that’s a completely different topic I’m tired of.
You’ll also never catch a good blockade runner pilot in high sec, or low, for that matter. Should that be nerfed as well?
No, because that’s something very different.
You’re good at “wahtaboutism” tho. Or are the “buzzwords” i throw around too much again?
Isn’t this still the case? If the guy can run from the fight for 15 mins isn’t that proof enough his pursuers failed to catch him? He can even sign off or just filament out, they had their chance already to catch him. Isn’t this true?
Different thing, those ships are designed to be hard to kill (yet can still be killed).
Filaments are available to every ship though. Should they allow everyone to be instantly out of bad situations?
Like Profane Soulchaot noticed well: you’re using whataboutisms all the time. Why not stick to the topic at hand and answer the questions instead of deflecting?
So, not being able to catch cloaky campers or blockade runners is okay, but you draw the line at not being able to catch filament users?
He could be warping between bookmarks for 15 minutes while avoiding combat probes.
If he attempts to sign off they have a 30 second delay ( the safe log off timer) during which a good combat prober will catch them, which is a delay that exists for balance purposes to avoid this scenario where the player can instantly remove themselves from a chase.
Even if they were to avoid the safe log off and instead close their client the ship stays in space for 30 seconds.
Likewise I’m asking for the same 30 second delay to filaments.
No, because if you rinse and repeat the same correct pattern when making a run, you’ll never be caught. If you have to use a gate eventually, there’s a point where you have to intersect with the enemy.
Whataboutism.
And not even a good related one, because blockade runners are intentionally slippery unlike the ships that can use filaments, which is ‘all subcaps’ including sluggish battleships and Orcas. Why should those ships be able to slip away from a well-prepared chase?
Next, cloaky campers can already be caught ever since mobile observatories added means to catch the AFK cloaky campers. Non-AFK (Active) cloaky campers could always be caught already by presenting the right bait.
Now can we go back to the topic of filaments? Or are you going to try to move our attention elsewhere again?
What is it that makes you so defensive about filaments?
I’m not telling you to get better at the game, I’m just asking if you’ve tried.
Put it into the computer and see what comes out.
…are we the baddies?
I’m not telling you to be constructive and have an actual point, i’m just asking if you’ve tried
… are you dense?
Clearly you are dense if you’re so horrendous at this game you have to cry on the forums and insult everyone.
You’re not supposed to use the Target Painter module on yourself.
Dry your eyes.
yep. dellusion.
You should biomass your toon.
yeah, you’re being mighty constructive, my baaaad.
You’re only getting the feedback you bring upon yourself.
If everyone around you is an assh*le, they are not the problem.
As long as “everyone” is a sameplesize of less than 5 and they’re exclusively bitter forum warriors, im good dawg.
