A Cyno-Jammer for needle-jack filaments

How are those things bad?

Currently the ‘Pochven express’ is the absolute safest way to move stuff from anywhere to HS. Just a cloak and a couple of filaments and there is zero chance of interaction.

You filament to Pochven, cloak up, wait out the timer, filament out and you’re safely in HS.

A 30 second timer would be a massive benefit there too for game balance, to add more potential points of interaction and nerf the safety of the Pochven express. Such a change would not only be a good change for null sec balance, but for Pochven balance too.

Imagine the life it would bring to Pochven if T3Ds could snipe the loaded Orcas trying to sneak through Pochven that currently go untouched.

Now I agree that for regular (non-teleportation) abyssal filaments a 30 second spool up timer is a bit much. Still, I can see how a 5 second timer would be an improvement to the current situation as such a change stops the expoit of chaining abyssal filaments to avoid PvP at the end of the 20 minute wait.

Again, thank you for making my point. It started out with Needlejacks, now it’s Pochven filaments, and now it’s Abyssal filaments.

What?

They’re all filaments and all filaments have the same issue since they were introduced: it allows a player to instantly remove themselves from dangerous space, with no possibility of stopping the player.

I’ve been asking for a delay since the start.

Why does logging off have a 30 second delay?

Same balance reason: Filaments should not be instant.

That’s a good point

you can stop those with deployables.

The reason for this thread was that there’s no gameplay to interact with it.
I’m convinced that having as many interaction points as possible (without being mechanically overwhelming) just makes for a better gaming experience.

It never was about abyssal filaments, but again, thank you for proving that your reading comprehention (or your intend behind posting here in the first place) isn’t the greatest.

I realise that, but that feels like a workaround for something that shouldn’t be possible in the first place. And some parts of space don’t allow deployables, which doesn’t allow this workaround.

I wasn’t replying to you…

Long story short, for those of you who are too daft too see what’s going on, what started with you wanting a change to Needlejack filaments has now ballooned into changes to other filament types which affect everyone in the game in every type of space, not just nullsec. Like I said, it never ends…

Sure, but at least there is a workaround.
that’s actually my favorite kind of solutions in games: unconventional use of game-mechanics. don’t get me going on bunny-hopping, lmao.

No, what I want stays unchanged: A deployable, like a mobile observatory, but for PvP filaments. On the basis of those being niche, but neat.
There you have it, your clean-cut, no interpretation nessesary, statement.

QuakeGod, can you explain why it is bad if risk is introduced for filaments where there currently is none?

Do you think it’s good that filament use is currently a risk-free get-out-of-jail card? Do you believe the Pochven express should stay as it is with 0 risk?

Why do you think that EVE is better with less risk?

He’s just bad at the game and fears more options (/me plays uno reverse card)

Ask the nullsec krabs who dock up at the sight of their own shadow…

You are deflecting the question.

Do you think that EVE is better with less risk?

There is already plenty of risk. The only ones wanting changes are those who can’t catch players using filaments.

Explain how someone who used a filament to teleport to Pochven can be caught if they sit cloaked while waiting out their timer to instantly teleport out again.

Hint: they cannot currently be caught.

how dense are you?
I’m not doing it either, because it’s bad game design

Just like you are never going to catch a cloaky camper who isn’t AFK…

You are again going on an unrelated tangent instead of answering the questions.
