and the theft is done through alliance and corp mechanics not by getting passwords
the game is designed to allow this kind of theft to happen

I’m not saying he is not guility and shouldn’t be banned, I’m not sure permaban is necessary. It was clearly a set up from The Judge. I’ve been calling worse in EvE. I behaved worse, but person at the other end of the keyboard always told me: “relax, it’s just a game”. I’m not justifing him.

A person (in this case GigX) is responsible for his own actions. Mister X should have thought first before he made his threat. And if he cannot control his temper, he should follow anger management course.

A betrayal of trust at this level will cause strong emotion and allowances should be made for this. You don’t permaban someone for being human.
Unacceptable things were said and there need to be consequences but, unless there is a pattern of behavior that indicates a strong likelihood of re-offending, I believe a lesser punishment - perhaps a 30 day ban is sufficient. People do learn from their mistakes.

Yeah if Gigx hadn’t been banned before for threatening and harassing people, and if he didn’t continue to make harassing threatening comments after he got banned, maybe you’d have a point.
