Dear Eve Online Enjoyers, CCP Games and the EVE Online Development Team,
I am writing to propose the development of a comprehensive companion mobile application designed to let players manage vital, non-combat mechanics without needing to be docked or actively logged into the client. By making this application completely exclusive to Omega accounts, it would serve as a powerful new incentive for maintaining subscriptions while significantly boosting daily player engagement.
A mobile app focused on the following features would be a game-changer for the community:
Industry and Production Management: Coming from a professional background in systems engineering and managing complex manufacturing bills of materials, I see immense value in allowing players to oversee their production lines remotely. Players could review material requirements, optimize blueprints, and initiate or deliver production runs directly from their phones.
Planetary Interaction (PI) & Push Notifications: Managing PI is highly time-sensitive. The app could provide push notifications for completed extractor cycles, finished industry jobs, or fulfilled market orders. This would keep players consistently connected to New Eden throughout their day.
Market Trading with Economy Safeguards: Allowing players to manage their market orders on the go is highly requested. To address valid concerns about bots or market manipulation, these mobile trading features could be secured with mandatory Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) or even slight transaction cooldowns to protect the integrity of the economy.
Seamless Corporation Communication: Integrating EVE Mail and the Corporation calendar would allow leadership and members to coordinate fleet operations, plan deployments, and maintain communication seamlessly, even when away from their PCs.
Many features might be added (chat with another players, editing skill training, booster or implant activation etc)
So, it has been 3 years almost. Technology has been developed. Also there are many games which use different platforms at the same time( PC, console, mobile app)
If the idea makes sense, it can be reconsidered.
Also I want to ask the gamers what their suggestions are. We can discuss the features which might be added.
Yes, I admit that I never research the topic before writing. But the some features which I suggested are not mentioned before.
I sent a ticket CCP game and they recommended me to share in the forum.
I just want to access the game whenever I want and enjoy more.
You could have asked right away that EVE should be accessible via a Webbrowser. But then i would have to tell you also that this was once a thing and got discontinued.
That was a feature i actually used from time to time.
Also I am not asking the accessing on the browser.
I am asking that Mobile phones are very sophisticated now, why we don’t access some features on mobile applications without negatively affected the game mechanics.
For example
Trading is the simplest issue.
PI - I don’t mean building from scratch but we can manage the PI facilities which are built.
Project discovery
Chat
Creating contacts
Implant and booster activation
Clone jump
Accessing new Eden store
Simulating fitting
Industry, production
Managing skill training
…
All these operations and more can be adapted to mobile applications.
If there is a demand which has a commercial value, maybe the developers consider it.
Wouldn’t this increase the threshold for players to undock?
I mean, the game tempts you to log in regularly to do trades, PI, skill planning and mails which is part of the game. And once you’re logged in it’s only a click away to press undock to shoot some rats or mine some ore. If I don’t have to log in to do all the in-station things, PI or project discovery I could simply play EVE for weeks and never undock at all!
While this sure seems convenient, would the game and the other players benefit from it when noninteractive gameplay is supported and encouraged by such an app?
I would think we other players participating in the universe benefit more from the opposite direction: extra reasons to open the game on the PC daily, so that undocking and making the universe lively is just a click away.
I fear this app would have a negative effect on the game.
well as long as FC makes money they would probably allow it as long as it still follows the distance rules that are in the actual game or it is more restricted than in the game
Trade, PI, project discovery, creating contracts etc for all these activities, you have to dock (expect PI you don’t have to dock). People who do these things are already to dock a station.
You can handle these type activities on mobile phones by this way you can focus PvP, pve, mining, exploration activities on PC. So contrary this will increase in undock players because They have already completed their activities, they won’t spend time for these activities on the PC.
If I have scheduled my PI on Monday I’m logging in to the game and fly around while doing my PI that day. I can react and take part in fights that happen at the time.
If I can do that PI on my phone my first reason to log in that day is gone, and if I have no other reasons I will likely not fly with the universe that day.
We could use more people in space, not less. People who log in to the game to do their PI, mails or market trades are a good thing, as undocking then is only a click away.

I would personally like to be able to manage calendars, contracts, corporate projects and freelance jobs through the API. Then I could build my own apps to remove the very high tedium of setting these things up through the game.
