A new era of gameplay!

Do you live in the USA? That’s USA-levels of stupid right there. When you simplify the world into “good” and “bad”, you’re not only doing it wrong, you’re exposing a lack of deeper thoughts.

The thief who steals food to feed his family is doing good for his family …
… and doing bad for the one he steals from.

This one example already is sufficient to prove that your simplistic, childish view of the world is wrong. Hell, you’re abusing the word “is”, because nothing ever “is” as you think things “are”. One guy says the thief is a good man, the other guy says the thief is a bad man.

Who is right? No one!
The idea of “good” and “bad” is purely man made and has no actual base in reality!

Because of this primitive way of thinking people are easily mislead into believing that doing certain things is “good” even though they’re actually “bad”. All it takes to manipulate people is a “good reason”, while never mentioning any “bad reason”. This stupid way of thinking also leads to division.

“You do this, therefore you must be bad.” Politicial correctness is a prime example of what happens when this kind of ■■■■ goes out of control. People turn into fascists, because “obviously we’re the good people and everyone who disagrees must be a bad person”.

Or: “Think of the children” is presented more and more as a good reason for everything, while in reality usually everything that’s being done where this is being said, tends to ■■■■ everyone except the people who keep saying it.

You still have a lot to learn.

I think this are all absolutely fabulous ideas and I want to be a part of your movement Op! As it happens I’m space rich, so if I may I will act as a force multiplier for the movement.

Every ISK you and your followers send me will be doubled and sent back to you, under the condition that it is used for good. People will have to coordinate with you so random people who want to enrich themselves can’t abuse the program.

I’m happy we have such a great community here :revolving_hearts:

Anyway scamming should be against the Eula.

Found something nice.

A book called The Ethics of Computer Games by Miguel Sicart

To be found here and described there as follow:

Why computer games can be ethical, how players use their ethical values in gameplay, and the implications for game design.

Despite the emergence of computer games as a dominant cultural industry (and the accompanying emergence of computer games as the subject of scholarly research), we know little or nothing about the ethics of computer games. Considerations of the morality of computer games seldom go beyond intermittent portrayals of them in the mass media as training devices for teenage serial killers. In this first scholarly exploration of the subject, Miguel Sicart addresses broader issues about the ethics of games, the ethics of playing the games, and the ethical responsibilities of game designers. He argues that computer games are ethical objects, that computer game players are ethical agents, and that the ethics of computer games should be seen as a complex network of responsibilities and moral duties. Players should not be considered passive amoral creatures; they reflect, relate, and create with ethical minds. The games they play are ethical systems, with rules that create gameworlds with values at play. Drawing on concepts from philosophy and game studies, Sicart proposes a framework for analyzing the ethics of computer games as both designed objects and player experiences. After presenting his core theoretical arguments and offering a general theory for understanding computer game ethics, Sicart offers case studies examining single-player games (using Bioshock as an example), multiplayer games (illustrated by Defcon), and online gameworlds (illustrated by World of Warcraft) from an ethical perspective. He explores issues raised by unethical content in computer games and its possible effect on players and offers a synthesis of design theory and ethics that could be used as both analytical tool and inspiration in the creation of ethical gameplay.

Wow, not even an apology. I just tried to help. This means war!

You need help definitly. And I will help you by telling you that scamming is nothing more than cheating. I hope some day Ccp is finding a way to handle all the scammers and give them what they earn. A opportunity to become a good person who is of value to anybody else but not only to them self by scamming on other people. I realy hope destiny will show you a way to behave better.

Well thats untrue.

Its used as a mechanism for game designers regularly to balance risk/reward scenarioes and story branches regarding “good” and “bad” endings regularly.

I like it if game designer choose to take ethics in consideration.

Well then you should because they do.

Whether those ethics align with your own is an entirely subjective matter however

And what again should I because they do what ?

What?

Sry I didnt understand what you are up to. Please explain in detail what you want to say.

Ive clarified the bit I think you were having difficulty with.

Well I learned already a lot about ethics.

Ok, mustve been outside of this conversation.

Im not sure what your point in all these threads is, but you seem to be trying to make a case for objective good and objective bad in them.

Most people who have experienced the world would disagree.

Wow, insulting me again? And you think you are a good person?
