Why would you ever want such a thing?! His great insights and ideas are great forum fodder. His take on R&Ks pipe bombing from a video 4 years ago he apparently just saw now was great in the comical, completely missing how it works sorta way. When I saw the thread title I eagerly clicked it with bated breath hoping the OP would be the OP.
If you had read the replies, you would have read the answer to this question already… saving you the much needed effort of writing.

He rarely, if ever, responds to anyone from his post. All he does is make a throwaway, ridiculous topic, then moves onto another. He is like a serial killer, this is his Modus Operandi. And we all know how serial killers tend to stick to what they know.

The only thing that Dryson’s “efforts” (and many of your posts too, I have to say) may accomplish is more players wanting to be gankers just to make fun of “anti-gankers” like that…
Can’t you just enjoy the game playing AG without making a fool of yourselves? I love being AG myself, but every time I see crap like that makes me wonder whether I should try ganking instead when (and if) I start playing EVE again…

Let me tell you that you are actually one of the only competent ag there are. You actually managed to come up with strategies that work and present a challenge while at the same time you seemed to have fun at it.
I gank highsec miners for like 4 years or something now and apart from Jen you where the only one ever to be successful at almost locking me down.
But seriously I saw you talking to those toxic guys in the ag channel and defend the game against their constant cry for nerfs and defeatist attitudes. They will never learn, they will always be miserable and just cry. I would have switched sides a long long time ago if I where you

About your strong ethics: Do you think it is fair to let those highsec miner trapped in the endless cycles of grinding for PLEX just to get another month of grinding for PLEX? Someone has to break this cycle and free them. After years of research New Order scientists have found that the most efficient way to teach them is antimatter. It’s just how it is. After all they are immortals, death is just a learning experience.

I agree some of them are unwilling to learn and will keep blaming others and the game mechanics for their own faults. I don’t pretend to change those. I just try to prevent them from negatively influencing the rest. I try to help the other players that are actually willing to learn but could be inclined to believe what the uninformed ones say simply because that makes them feel better.
I think someone within the AG community that by no means can be seen as an “enemy” has to tell them what the game is about and that many of the things they’re being told there are plain wrong.
Haha. I don’t see myself doing that, makes me feel uneasy, but yeah, there are times when I really hesitate…
I find anti-ganking more interesting and challenging than ganking, not because the game favours ganking, which it doesn’t, but because the top gankers are very good (I’ve met some unbelievably stupid gankers too, though) and many victims make themselves such easy targets. If AG was as lucrative as ganking, I believe there would be more players wanting to do it because, when done properly, it’s really challenging and fun.
I have a lot of respect for you and other gankers I’m proud to also have a good relationship with (and which I will still hunt when there aren’t higher priority targets around, kill if I can, and risk being ganked by ). As far as I can tell, you’re honest, behave properly, are very good at what you do, and I learn a lot from you.
But not all gankers are like that. There is toxicity in the ganker community too, so it’s not like I would feel comfortably at home either if I became a ganker instead. Some gankers are dishonest, real bullies and/or just jerks. There are toxic players everywhere, be they miners, gankers, or anti-gankers.
Yes, I think it is fair to let everybody play EVE the way they want to, as long as it is within the game rules.
If some people like to mine because they find it “relaxing” or because it requires little attention and that’s the only way they can or want to play, then so be it. If some other people don’t like what those miners do and want to “enlighten” them or just have fun seeing them explode, then so be it too. Nothing wrong with those completely opposed forms of gameplay as far as me goes.
