and yet there are plenty of miners, manufacturers, mission runners, explorers, and whatever else that isn’t solely PVP focused doing just fine without whining like bitches and stamping their feet for a risk free high-sec which of course will result in all their carebear profits disappearing too.
Lets see about high sec as it stands today
if you get ganked hauling billions unprotected you are a moron. Check.
if you get ganked mining you are a moron. Check.
if you get ganked running missions you are a moron. Check.
if you, for whatever reason, can’t seem to play because Hell Dawn or CODE or WER4 or whatever high-sec boogie man you see is there you are a moron. Check.
your dumb ass would be the same one whining in null about AFK cloaky campers. Check.
You do not get the game nor it’s playerbase. I am sorry that Hello Kitty Island Adventure was unfortunately shut down but World of Warcraft PVE servers are alive and well still. Of course you may run into the many world content griefers or Raid Finder wipe content creators and cry up a storm there too…
There are many hisec miners out there that don’t suffer from the predation that affects those that can’t be arsed to pay attention. We’ll happily take over the market share of those that leave.
This prediction which High-Sec carebears like to keep asserting has never been anything other than absurd.
Most people who focus on PVP don’t primarily source their ISK from the sale of PLEX. It is ridiculous to act like there’s no overlap between the people who produce the ISK and minerals in circulation and the people who provide value to those things by removing them from the game.
What is there to do to for ISK in the game? Not PVP. People don’t get rich by doing that. Market trading requires too much initial investment to do without having started by doing something else. Mining, ratting, industry, LP farming, exploration are sources of that income.
I’ve lost a few ratting Gilas on this character when I was paying attention to something other than the game and some other PVE ships elsewhere. I’ve done a substantial amount of mining in all three categorie of K-Space and gas huffing in J-Space. Much of that has been interrupted by non-friendly players showing up to try to kill me. You don’t see me whining on the forums about it. If ships didn’t get destroyed, there would be no value generated by PVE activity.
This. Whine and ragequit all you like, the people who don’t suck at EVE will continue to make tons of ISK doing mining/industry/etc and enjoy higher profits now that you’re no longer dumping excess production on the market.
Hardly. I dont pvp at all unless you count player vs pyroxeres. I just am not a complete moron who cannot navigate this game without losing ships and crying like a ■■■■■ on the forums and in local.
I came here knowing it is a game of conflict and strife in a sandbox. Unfortunately due to the other carebear whiners it is more of a litterbox nowdays.
Why do we keep them! I liked the April fools joke a couple of yrs ago when CCP was going release the bio grinder, or something like that, can’t remember the link.
I mean, I run away as soon as I’m not alone in a system, but I think decorating my ship rever style with corpses would be cool. Also sounds like a minmatar thing. As a Gallente, I’d worry about damaging the paint.
Don’t worry about Lucas. He’s basically a cold sore. Just pops up occasionally when things are stressy, starts off as a mild irritation, works himself up intp a hot and scratchy mess then falls off and disappears for a while.
