Abyss Loot

Triglavian survey data thingies they look red so hence the name

but they are almost worthless now. It’s not about amount that drops but buyout price.

They were supposed to be tied to npc buy orders like sleeper loot is but idk you can get bundles of over 100 in some cans

I believe red loot is still tied to NPC orders. The prices have been consistent since Abyss was released.

A higher chance of Gravid and Unstable drops in T3s is good for high-sec and players that simply can’t afford to get into the 5-billion+ ISK setups required for T4s and T5s. This will also (hopefully) bring the prices on Gravid and Unstable down a bit.

with 100k for single unit it’s not bad but why such high amount of it? Least sleeper blue loot is 200k.

What about trigs hulls changes? They made same mistake with trigs manufacturing as with faction hacking modules, they need huge amount of materials which lift prices up.

Prices for Zero-Point and Isogen-10 have been steadily dropping over the past few weeks. I think hull prices have another 25% to go before they start bottoming out.

It’ll continue being an issue to balance for more time, don’t expect miracles.First how many survey thingies to drop on average per tier that’s easy but the rest is highly debatable

The drop rate of the respective filaments gets reduced. Glad I kept mine for later. More red loot means more ISK injection into EvE … yeah, that’s what we really need.

CCP has no clue how to balance this ■■■■, this is a bad move.

Tell me how many abyssal runners selling red loot equals 1 nyx ratter or a bot farm of say 10 gilas

patch notes says:
“Tier 4 and 5 filaments drop chance slightly reduced.”
I think it’s “keys” drops for filaments are reduced not the loot inside the filaments.

Can tell you after the balance. But even with 100:1, there are far more highsec Abyss runners than Nyx ratters.

That’s what I said.

HAH reached the 1% ^^ I don’t think they’ll harm the economy too much haven’t we had a drop in number of wormhole inhabitants since citadel came out.Kind of evens out.Plus these same people will leave other isk generating activities it’s not like they’re brand new most will be former mission runners.

If the new content gets high-sec players into something other than grinding L3 and L4 missions, I’m all for it. At least players are now thinking and fitting more along the lines of a PvP fit.

I don’t know about that pvp fit, does warp scram works for those rats?

Unlikely, Abyss fits are always gimmick PvE fits. Even more than other PvE, because you just can’t run the sites with PvP fits, you can run, but you will die.

EDIT:
But one good thing about the sites, it makes people “switching sides”. I know of at least 3 people switching from runners to hunters after they died on exit. This is what creates long term commitment, if you once experienced the thrill of PvP, there is no way back. Then your real learning about ships, fits and situational awareness start.

Not Pvp fit’s but at least they have to fly better than L3/L4 so its a step in the right direction.

Most fits are only one scram or disruptor short of a PvP fit. So instead of dual webs you’d see a single web plus scram. Everything else is pretty much in-place for a PvP fit.

Speaking of which, why did they make these like this ? Instead they should have made these sites exactly and precisely so they may require a scram, or even a bubble since the sites themselves are located in NS basically, a web, some neuts maybe and PvP style tank + DPS. Instead its more gimmicky of the same like you said. Its same crap, only blinged same crap.

Because it takes way less dev time to just stack 40 tons of EWAR on top of each other to make things “hard”. In other news, CCP is cranking out skins at record pace!
