Abyssal are too large of beacon for gankers even in 5.0 space . Risk vs Reward is unbalanced

Stop pretending there is anything wrong with roleplaying as a criminal hunter, a law enforcer, or something like that. There isn’t. It’s a playstyle as good and valid as any other that abides by the game rules, and you have to deal with the fact that there are going to be players wanting to roleplay as that, just like others have to deal with the possibility of being ganked…

Too bad for you and your frothy-mouthed carebear rage-spew, I wasn’t attacking anyone’s play style, but the roleplay-relevant moral grounds of helping specific pilots who objectively deserve assistance much less than many others whom the AGs don’t help.

This would’ve been obvious had you read the entire post (especially the second paragraph) instead of rushing to defecate some white-knight rhetoric after getting through half of the first sentence. :sunglasses:

@Githany_Red itself is a pretty chill person. We make remarks about the “high moral standards” and get likes from Githany.

Yes, he probably know those people don’t deserve help. But hey! A roleplayer need to keep his/her character.

LOL. My what?

So saying someone’s playstyle is damaging for the game doesn’t qualify as attacking it? How does it qualify, then? Please note that, if you’re going to play some word games here to avoid calling that an attack, you need to keep in mind I didn’t say you were attacking anyone’s playstyle to begin with…

Which is what I’m saying you’re wrong about, so not sure how your introductory “rage-spew” is relevant to anything I said…

You’re attributing some “moral grounds” to something that’s mere roleplaying with no “moral grounds” attached at all. If you see someone basing his actions on some wrong “moral grounds” then criticise him/her all you want, but you cannot make up those “moral grounds” for everyone roleplaying as a criminal hunter or law enforcer just so you may justify your criticism regardless when such “moral grounds” don’t exist…

I’m not saying, nor have I ever said, nor has @Githany_Red, there is anything wrong with suicide ganking…

And I can’t speak for Githany, but there are absolutely no moral reasons for me to help someone being ganked. In fact I often happily let the victim die, so WTF are you on about?

All this crap you’re spewing about anti-ganking is no better than claiming gankers are sociopaths and whatnot. You’re making the exact same mistake and thus are just as wrong is what I’m saying…

And what makes you think it wasn’t obvious to me and that I didn’t read the entire post including the second paragraph? What exactly did I say that makes you think I didn’t understand anything you said?

Do you actually enjoy doing them, or do you just enjoy the isk?

Asking for a friend who is thinking about using the hundreds of Fillets that CCP has given them over the last year.

Roleplay in Eve was CVA holding providence. Everything else is just lame.

Please explain how doing something that I have fun doing… in a game… can be lame…

No. But who flew with or against CVA back in thise days know it.

Lots of things I enjoy doing are regularly described as lame.

Its refreshing to make peace with the fact others dont share my interests.

Most things in EvE are lame tbqfh.

Just so you know I don’t sit around in my police space uniform wearing thigh-length boots.

We just play a role of killing criminals as indicated by flashy red no matter where they are from (most of the time)

So…it’s about killing the criminal and not about helping people?

Ok, carry on.

Yes but it’s nice when someone is grateful and my wallet is happy

Maybe ask gankers if they will be grateful enough to make your wallet happy if you don’t kill them.

First and foremost it is about having fun, so killing gankers, nabbing their loot and getting in their way is all part of that and is making it harder for them so that they will make mistakes. But if you can save the prey then that is a real bonus, because you did something that is rather hard to do.

A lot of the time you can tell that they are not happy because they start getting salty in local. And if you make them waste more ISK in getting that kill it is also a big win too.

A lot of ganker shrills go on and on about how infective AG are, but in reality it is pure salt from anti-fun players.

And you concept of “having fun” seems to be ruining the fun of gankers.

Maybe people shouldn’t be allowed to kill defenseless destroyers in HS with such impunity. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It is opposing them in their farming activities, their salt in local and on the forums is because they don’t like it.

Destroyers are fast, quick warping ships that are bristling with guns, hardly defenceless by any means.

One of the funniest AG things to do is use a certain Amarr frigate to nab them after they have jumped through gates. I have stopped them from entering multiple systems and made them gank elsewhere by simply camping a gate like this.

C’mon. Need I put a warning about irony/sarcasm in my post?

I knew you were being sarcastic and you were right to be sarcastic on that fact, it just enabled me to add a little more to what I said.

:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: indicated that you were being sarcastic, I realised that.

My reply was about them being quick, fast warping ships, I should have added cheap to that sentence. There is little real value in shooting it. But I got most of my kicks from stopping them from trying to enter certain systems and making them re-ship without having got a kill.

The Tornado gankers were often the most salty. Using a HIC on the gate where they were hanging tended to make them give up and log out. That was successful AG work but there is nothing really tangible as a reward for having done that.

Ahh. I really need to put a warning.

That was the warning, it was understood. I often wonder why people get uptight when someone makes use of something obviously sarcastic, sometimes it appears to be a dig in some way as you are dumb because you don’t pick up that I was being sarcastic. Tell me it ain’t so…
