Abyssal deadspace survey from CCP

Fair?! people hunting T4-5 runners get them on the plate, there is nothing fair there. Hunters already know there will only one person incoming from the AP. It is legitimate ganking.

Yet again from content for all security status space, nullsec gets the cream.

Don’t lie also, are missions overfarmed? They are content on demand such as AP. It is a matter of tweaking loot tables and usefullness of loot itself.

All high sec pve is overfarmed, the only balancing factors are people quoting out of boredom and people getting ganked. Sisters of eve l.p. used to be worth a whole lot more, for example.

No amount of tweaking 8s going to help. As soon as people see more drops in tier 1-3, they will just farm them more.

Its already doable to multibox abyss Gilas or ishtars up to tier 3( I’ve done this myself as a test, in high sec, its easier than vni ratting and having 3 Vilas in 3 separate instances means the risk of gang is also spread out), better loot means this will get worse. If all abyss filament use resulted in suspect timers, at least the gamers wowild provides a kind of material sink that would keep loot values up.

But noooooo, high sec has to have that cake (profitable pve) and eat it too (safety). Too bad this is physically impossible.

You should name your next character Jenn Offonatangent. Or Jenn Ihaveanagenda.

Though aSide works since you rarely respond with anything even close to the topic being discussed.

It actually reads Genocide though.

There is no tangent. There is the problem of people self servedly misidentiying the problem the are having.

Abyssal deadspace is fine. Its fun and in the not overfarmed tiers its super profitable despite the occasional ship and pod loss. Its a lot of what pve players have asked for…

Thing is, the segment of pve playeea in high sec asked for safety to. They got it, and cant seem to understand why their loot values are crap.

The survey results from high sec players are going to be useless, mainly because high sec pve players are too short sighted to see the actual issue that needs fixing. They need the gankers to cull the competition for them.

Lol, you know, it’s the same in all kind of space. I can gank a runner in nullsec, wormhole, and lowsec the same as in highsec. Nothing special with highsec. As said the effort to make it safe is similar (I hope you know what I mean), so what’s not fair?

It’s discussing a survey. Not whatever it is you are on about.

If there’s one thing you are good at, it’s proving other posters points for them.

It didn’t help that CCP nerfed the hell out of the drop rate a week in. I would still be doing them had CCP not made them pointless. They may have fixed the drop rate since. Though I won’t personally check.

explain to me why nullsec should get best from the content meant for all.

no, you not be ganking anybody in space other than hisec. Ganking as criminal act will get you blown in hisec, but hey you won’t need to lose your hull in hisec because of flag. What effort you are talking about? Fairness? I can warp off from any site but AP, I must bling my fit for t4-t5 and I will be alone. Easy prey.

Sure, and this is even easier in other kind of space. So, again, what is unfair regarding the highsec flag in comparison to nullsec for example? Why should running the higher tier sites be safer in highsec than in other kind of space?

Inn null I guess you would run sites behind thick layer of intel and with support of friends.
In highsec if you leave T4-5s flagged, your friends can come watch you die or die to CONCORD with you if they attack attackers, no? Try gank the gankers maybe, must be fun. Site runner is dead by that time anyway tho.

Logististics ships and shield/armor boosts must not exist in high sec I guess.

Damn Jenn, you spoiled the answer.

Never received a survey?
I have two toons, both capable of running them, but haven’t even tried running them, or read up on them, researched youtube videos, etc…not even sure how to start them…no interest.

Ditto that Race thingee…

I grind for ISK…Mine/rat and PVP…I sell escalations…dont run em…I do run the events that spawn in systems with beacons to collect skins when they come around, so I am not a total wet blanket.

Now, in general I like the idea that CCP provided the content, I hear it is visually beautiful, and I like the idea of the ā€œreforgingā€ plasmid thingee…so I am not saying they wasted their time, more content is a good thing for the game, but for some reason, can’t put my finger on it…I am not interested in running em.

The fact that loot in EvE is all non-binding, you can sell them, is one disencentive…If the loot was best of class and it was Bind on Pickup, then I would be ā€œforcedā€ or incentivized to run em…just a thought…

What do you exactly mean by safer? Hisec is safe? Since when? It’s actually more dangerous to run T4-T5 AP in hisec even without suspect flag, it’s high density populated region and with up to 20 min timer to complete AP it’s a plenty of time to gather suscide dessies to gank the site runner. Why should running those in nullsec should be safer? It supposed to be a content for everybody in all security spaces not suicide content for hisec. T 4-5 already require bling to be runned, it’s realy not necessary to ease hunting.

Solo, write it somewhere at the level of your eyes and repeat 100 times. SOLO CONTENT. Abyssal space was made this way from the begining, only one can enter into pocket. So why should anybody wait up to 20 minutes to boost runner after he/she finish? One player have fun, the rest just wait and watch netflix? What is it with nullsec players forcing game mechanics into not so fun group gameplay? It’s over and over again. Don’t even start with your stupid multiboxing, if a game require multi accounts to be proper played it’s not worth the money and has bad design.

I agree with you that this does not happen often, but, in Jenn aSide’s defense - that suggestion to ā€˜bring logistics’ was in response to a previous post, that said the player DOES have friends nearby. Sigfried Tahl: ā€œā€¦In highsec if you leave T4-5s flagged, your friends can come watch you dieā€¦ā€ In this really rare case, friends could do better than simply come to watch, they could bring logistics ships… be waiting or warp in, and risk inheriting suspect flags by helping. I don’t know how much help they can provide if the attackers are high alpha ships, so again I agree the scenario is unlikely or would rarely succeed. (Might save friend if attackers don’t finish the site-runner in a single volley.)

Most T4/5 runners (less than 10% of all tiers being run - from everywhere!) in HS are safe from attack afterward, by starting the sites in low traffic systems away from trade and mission hubs. If a hunter is looking for these traces, and knows only 10% of abyssal trace contacts he might warp to will be a T4/5… what are the best places to look, to avoid wasting a lot of time?

Unless your ā€œfriendsā€ consist of upwards of two dozen T3Cs with logistics you don’t stand a chance. I also suspect the waiting gank fleet has support on speed-dial, so this seems like a massive investment to throw away on a ā€œchanceā€ that some of you might make it out alive. This isn’t where the more you bring the better your odds; the more you bring - the more you and your friends are going to lose when another 20+ enemy ships drop on you.

T4s and T5s are rigged in high-sec. You’re going to die (and die horribly) if you attempt to run them. Maybe not every time - but lose one ship and pod and you’ll be hard-pressed to replace it. This is just free content for null-sec gankers looking for an easy payday (you).

Save your ship, save your implants and save your ISK. Stick to T3 filaments where you risk far less in ship, modules and implants. Don’t provide null-sec with risk-free content.

I just wonder what’s the value of the loot table allotted to F1-F3 filaments. 0.1% of nullsec ratting bounties? 0.2% maybe?

A lot less than what’s being pilfered out of null-sec, to be certain. For all we know filaments pay out more depending on the area run. It’s really anyone’s guess.

It’s been overfarmed, to be sure. The majority of players run PvE and run it in high-sec, which more or less precludes any kind of serious T4-T5 filament effort. But Gravid and Unstable drops are fairly rare, so you’re left with T1 modules, blueprints and components, base skillbooks and Decayed mutaplasmids.

I’ve received a total of two (2) Faction disintegrator dops so these are fairly uncommin in T1-T3 filaments as well.
