Abyssal deadspace survey from CCP

To answer your question on all tiers balance tier 1 to 4 are actualy well balance in my opinion .The issue i’m having as far as balance for tier 5 doesn;t come from wether or not i can survive the NPC waves because i can get that done i know them inside and out problem is the total NPC ehp rolls where you can get high ehp spawns rolled in a row in a increased hp weather so the timer gets you killed and you are powerless against it.

My only slight issue as far as npc are masses of leshaks the only reason sacrilege even works in dark matter is because of the reduced turret range and increased speed which means you can sig tank better and not have to get chewed in on your aproach like in other weathers. The gila gives an alternative because with a drone link augmenter you can cheese the leshak spawn and not have to deal with them upclose and personal, but it has way more for it than just that-high application decent rof launchers, incredibly resilient drones, selectable dmg type, high shield buffer with a resist bonus, decent speed, plenty of midslots.

6/10’s? Whats that?

I meant you need a 50 mil Skill point player to fit everything t2 and to have max dps/ehp. And youve made my point 500 mil isk investment for a Tier 1! Just to get started! Thats insane!
And if you think that you can do them in any cruiser just try them in an Amarr ship like the Omen or the Maller and tell me if you can do it. You wont be able to hit a thing without 2 Tech 2 Tracking Computers and Tracking Enhancers. But then if you fit all that you lose dps by not having enough heat sinks so you either cant hit anything or you can but then do so little dps that you die from the clock running out.

My point is you should not NEED faction fits for the lower tiers. They should be fair and doable by ships from all factions. Like Npc agents Lv1’s are easy lv2s are harder but still easy. lv3s start to get tricky and lv4s are rocket powered nut smashing sledgehammers.

And no I am not scared. I think it was a very ballsy move by CCP and think its a fun idea. All they need to do is a MAJOR re-balancing so that its doable for ALL players.

This is how it should be set up:

Tier 1: Doable in pure T1 ships with all T1 parts. No rigs. 10- 20 mil isk investment.
Tier 2: Doable in T1 ships with all Meta lv4 parts and rigs. 40-80 mil isk investment.
Tier 3: Doable in T1 ships with all T2 parts (excluding weapons) and T2 rigs. 90 - 150 mil isk investment.
Tier 4: Doable in T2 ships with all T2 weapons and parts and rigs and a few faction parts. 400 - 750 mil isk Investment.
Tier 5: Doable in T2 ships only with all fancy faction/deadspace/officer parts with boosters and implants. 1.5 - 4 bil isk investment.

This way it can be a fun patch for EVERYONE to enjoy from the newbies to the 50 mil skill point pilots with billions of isk to spare.

Although I received your survey, I really don’t see a point in responding when the problem is pretty clear.

Not enough people are doing your content.

Need reasons? I think you will find plenty if you just read a article or two.

You don’t need 50 million skill points… but it helps. I actually run T2-T3 filaments in a gun-based T1 cruiser hull without implants or boosters. A few tips:

Know your filament. Dark filaments are brutal on gunships so avoid them. Electrical are the best for turrets with the cap recharge bonus.

Armor trumps shield. Armor tanks don’t get penalized by the dreaded orange pockets. 2x Faction EANM, a RAH and C-Type Deadspace armor repairer are all you need plus 2x nano rigs.

Capacitor = life. You’ll want 2 large cap batteries and any implants that enhance it (optional).

Tracking = 60% stasis web (all you need). If you can run drones stick with Caldari Navy Vespas.

Afterburner, afterburner, afterburner.

A small tractor beam comes in very handy if you have a spare utility high.

Apart from balance and all another issue is will players trust CCP and return to the abyssal content?I think not.

This content started with some good vibe and hype when concept and first interactions from players began yet it lost alot of traction when players realised they don’t have a guaranteed solution no matter the investment and we saw plenty of nice fit bling ships dead to timers.

On the other hand something closer to this i’ll use incursions as an example because it’s somewhat close it started with no real hype and a similarly mixed/bad vibe because pvers were dying everywhere but when a solution was found and optimising it gave CONSISTENT reward it was picked up and loved

Abyssal loot rebalance. Soon…
Just like a certain shark when you thought it was safe to go back into the water…

I think loot wise it should be a guaranteed drop of some items within some ranges say always come out with zero condensate and isogen out of a site just the amount vary by tier.

Sort of how you always get an OPE in a DED site plasmids and bpc/skill books could be rarer and not always drop. And empty cans need to go it’s a huge turn off seeing you get nothing for an engagement

I have twenty plus characters with at least half fully capable of doing these Abyssal things. But not one of them have even looked into fitting a ship for one. That’s how little interest I have in the whole event.

I doubt CCP were too thrilled when they read my survey.

I seriously doubt they care.

Do I think they care about mine more than anyone else? No.

But do I think they care about negative survey results? Of course they do.

Else they wouldn’t mail out a survey in the first place and spend the resources to read and collate all the thousands of responses.

I’d enjoy reading your survey responses!

My reply to the survey was positive. I’m having a blast trying new things in abyss space dispite the losses (note, shield vigilant = bad idea even in Gammas). Several of my corpmates have made abyss running a standard part of their isk making activities. It’s a nice break from ratting/mining/exploration.

Imo its the 1st good pve ccp has added since burner missions. The response from people I actually know has been in stark contrast to all the belly aching that can be seen on this forum and in this thread.

Its funny to see the same people who reacted negatively to the initial plan to make all tiers give suspect timers in high sec be the exact same posters who are dismayed at the overfarming that has made their loot next to useless. Good thing for us that none of that matters in null sec in the tier 4s and 5s I and my buddies run.

Of course null-sec is profiting from T4 and T5 filaments; it’s the safest area to run these. No risk of ganking on undock, in transit or a waiting fleet on exit. Null-sec whined and CCP caved and added the suspect flag (free killboard padding) for high-sec.

Bitter? You’re damned right. This was supposed to be content for everyone and once again CCP rolls out the slop trough to the one region of space that needs another ISK sink like a hole in the head.

You can take your blue donut and shove it.

Ah but I suspect it’s more to trigger you most people in null are too dumb to do basic anoms without being fed a fit and a video guide. In my area Noone does them in alliance chat(some700 online at times) no one speaks of abyssal space and no one is selling any abyssal loot in our trade channel go figure.

Suspect flag is so stupid idea I don’t even know where to start. It has nothing to do with pvp, it’s upside down ganking.

I was against it originally (instead liked to ban T4+ from highsec, and seeing them exclusively in lowsec), but now it’s there it creates nice new game play for hunters. So I hope it stays, and maybe even expanded to other areas.

What the people who complain don’t get, you need a similar effort to keep you safe running as it would take in low or nullsec … and this is fair!

For example if you run a T4 in Perimeter or few jumps out of Jita, it’s the same as a PH member would start a filament in Delve.

Its idiotic to think that null sec has anything to do with any of this. Some of us tried to warn you about how these would be overfarmed to the point of your loot beong useless, you didnr listen. That’s your fault and no one else’s.

The typical high sec persecution complex demands that you think every mistake you made was somehow someone else’s doing. Its not.

If null is so safe in this regard, why are all of you clinging to “unsafe” high sec? Rhetorical question, we both know the answer, its because you know you are lying.

Enjoy your 100% safe 100% overfarmed tier 1-3 filaments in high sec btw.

My main received the email and answered it. Don’t expect anything from it, but answering the survey was 10x more engaging and interesting than voting the CSM.

My gut feeling is that Abysmal sites will be declared a huge success and more stuff like them will come as EVE population and CCP’s income & staff keep dwindling, and meanwhile I will keep playing other games.

(After months of insistence, granny Eva went to the doctor to have her symptoms looked at. Unfortunately she went to a quack doctor and neither the diagnostic nor the treatment seem accurate at all, but she’s happy with them even if the symptoms seem to worsen rather than improve)
