I know very well what I am writing, because I actually know Abyssals very well. I even made you a screenshot of the loot. What is there not to understand? You can check the values of the BPCs yourself if you don’t believe it. Just search for them in the contracts. So you have a very clear number of ISK that these 4 runs generated.
So, this says a Chaotic Firestorm gives on average (!!!) 76.13M loot. I got 239 from 3 runs, which means on average (!!!) 79.67M per filament. Thats almost a spot on landing on what the Abysstracker tells us.
Navy Vespas to open all cans at the start of the pocket and then distract a bit of enemy fire while there are still threats to drones (Autmata Turrets or NPCs that target drones)
Hammerhead IIs to apply max DPS when all drone-threats are removed (Karens, Overseers, Deepwatchers…). Navy Hammers don’t make much sense imho, if they take damage their additional HP will last a few seconds more at max, so you would want shield-tanking drones (aka the Navy Vespas). And if there are no threats to them any more and against the big HP targets, Hammer IIs deliver more damage anyway.
As an alternative (requires lots of skills I know) I routinely run T4 firestorms in an ikitursa active tanked on armor with mid range-askpelians … survives all rooms. Ive had a couple of scary times but by and large seems to handle it well

No, you get that wrong. I am an expert on the topic and you are a newbie who claims there is a “problem” just because you are unable to execute basic tasks that generate huge profits with abyssals. It’s a You-Problem, but you are unwilling to learn and adapt and thus unable to achieve what most others can.

I came back to the game after a decade and was recommended abyssals for some easy isk. Didn’t have much isk (about a bil) but grabbed a Gila and a pisscheap active tankfit. Started doing t3’s until I was comfortable with how abyssals worked. Then t4’s and then made the jump to t5s.
T5s were hairy as hell, took some piloting with a shitty fit. But it’s been 60 days now and I’ve run hundreds without dying a single time.
Upgraded my fit and now done 70ish t6’s with qbsolutely no problem at all.
The isk started rolling in at t5s. Roughly 300mil/hour. T6’s are silly isk.
Tl;dr
Started with 1 bil, got a cheapass Gila. 60days later sitting in a HG Crystal and 6bil Gila.
I am an expert abyss-miner farmer. You can passive tank gilas and run t5 gammas/exo until the end of the times. It is by far the most brainless safest and profitable activity in EVE and you can easily dualbox them. It is not uncommon to even use bots to run t4 gammas.
And passive tank gilas are by nature way cheaper then active tanked.
I believe people advicing to active tank a gila are just trolling you.
Indeed, t5-t6 abyss are just a crazy isk-printer. It should be removed from highsec (until t3). I dont know why would someone use a bot to mine in highsec when they can just bot the abyss.
Yah many cases you do need to loot everything. As you do the sites more and notice if the cashes are really low on loot. The extra loot might be in an extractor node.
