Add Color Gradients to Differentiate Billions, Millions, Thousands of ISK

Hi everyone,

I’d like to suggest a small but helpful UI improvement: introducing color gradients to visually distinguish ISK values — billions, millions, thousands — across the wallet, market, contracts, and other UI elements.

For example:

  • 1.2B ISK could appear in a deep red
  • 650M ISK in a strong blue
  • 12K ISK in a light gray-blue

Or better yet, CCP could implement a smooth CSS-like gradient scale, where ISK values shift in hue or saturation based on their magnitude — making it easier to quickly read and assess large numbers, avoid mistakes (especially in the market and contracts), and just improve clarity overall.

It’s a small quality-of-life change, but one that could make a big difference day-to-day.

Thanks to CCP and the CSM for considering this!

Thank you for your reply, and thank you for helping make the game more enjoyable. One last thing — would it be possible to ask CCP to provide lighter UI themes?
Currently, all the themes are quite dark, and for me, dark themes cause much more eye strain. I don’t think I’m the only one experiencing this. A soft off-white or very light grey theme would be much more comfortable.

I would absolutely love some theming capabilities in the game. I am happy enough with the dark but it would be nice to be able to highlight certain things, or have colour coded item frames for small, medium and large modules, for example.

For most of us I think CCP could just provide exposed values we could tweak with hexadecimal or rgb values into a basic input panel, maybe down the line they could make a nice UI for it with colour pickers, but I’d take basic input as an appetiser.
