Additional penalties for ganking

Hello, I believe ganking could be balanced by adding a more permanent element to the penalty for it.

In high security, you should lose standing with the faction that owns the space, this will mean that your relationship with them worsens for committing crimes in their space, which seems logical.

This means that once you do enough ganks and reach a -5.0 standing would mean you are “kill on sight” in that faction’s space forcing gankers to move into other factions space or to increase their standing with the faction again.

I propose that attacking another player while in high security will result in losing 0.5 standing with the faction, and being involved in a killmail will result in losing an additional 1.5 standing.

These numbers will mean that if you don’t have standing with that faction, you can only gank (successfully) 3 players before you are chased off the faction space if you don’t do anything to improve your standing back up.

The standing reduction is orientative but the idea is to make it so you can’t gank indefinitely without some sort of penalty beyond losing your ship.

but the faction does not care about ganking oO its only CONCORD ! and you will lose your sec status

again, faction police does not care ! its all about CONCORD ! if you wanna change this then we can get rid of CONCORD  actualy i would like this

so in general you will lose flat 2.0 standing ? oO sounds wierd

ok now we dont have CONCORD anymore and faction police is chasing you … you know they are less effective like CONCORD ? and you can easy avoid faction police

no … you actualy make it easier to gank xD

I don’t like your suggestions, and would not support them; though I could go along with @Vuhdo_Rin

I support getting rid of Concord. The imposition of Concord in highsec provides a very false sense of security, and leads players, older and new, into imagining suicide ganking is not supported in game by the developers.

That false impression, imo, causes more discord among the player base than any other issue, that I follow.

I’d get rid of Concord. Then every player would know where they stood, in regards to safety in highsec. There would not be anymore illusions as to whether you were safe or not.
