After 2 decades, why are we still required to wait 9 hrs to delete a brand new character?

  1. Why are we still required to wait 9 hrs to delete a brand new character?
  2. Why can we not export a character’s appearance so that if we do do it over we can just make the slight changes instead of having to start from scratch each time (after 9 hrs)? You’re just as likely to encounter a different imperfection you want to correct.
  3. Why is there no 24hr period to make full changes to a new character’s appearance? We can’t even look at portrait options prior or see what they will look like in the character window.
  4. Why are character creation clothing and hairstyle choices still faction restricted? Gallente get hit the hardest by this even though they are supposed to be the most open society.
  5. Maybe controversial, but why are races even empire restricted? Why can’t an Inaki start with Caldari? Or a Brutor start with Amarr?

9 hrs also, in case someone accidentally hits biomass or hits biomass but decides to change their mind…

Protect my account from what? I’m talking about a brand new character that just got created and hasn’t trained or done anything. If I’ve literally done nothing, not having invested anything whatsoever into the character, I should not have to wait 9 hours to try again.

If you were hacked, thats 10 hrs to possibly save your character from being deleted

Who cares if they are deleted??? It’s a character that was created literally 5 seconds ago with no trained skills. Delete away, potential hackers.

I’m talking specifically about brand new characters without anything being done to them. And CCP can recover deleted characters. Doomhiem still exists, no? They aren’t actually completely deleted.

I would recommend the amount of hours til deletion to be equivalent to the amount of skill time trained (in alpha time), maxing at the current 10 hours. If you put in 5 hours of SP you have a 5 hour wait. If you put in 20 minutes of SP you have a 20 minute wait. If Omega the time is doubled. So 2.5 hrs of SP is 5 hours wait as it’s based on alpha time. If you have applied something to the character, like a booster or awarded SP (like the 1M SP) or you’ve completed missions, the wait will automatically be 10 hours. Seem fair?

Why are we still required to spam log out when we want to log out after docking? Why cant it just count down and then log out
