No idea, i’ll test it. I work hard at my job to get money so I can pay for a $10/month subscription (yearly) so in the evening I can play what I want. Also I proposed more than mining in a Venture but it’s a sandbox, do it how you want, there are possible millions of permutations and things people just didn’t already think of to make much ISK.
I equipped a Venture with 2x Laser I’s. I’ll make a few runs and calculate the ISK per hour I get.

Even before alphas it was possible to create free miner accounts since those chars have a fixed SP requirement and you can just sell the SP every month which makes them practically free.
So what was the problem again?

I don’t remember the exact wording used by CCP but I believe their intention was to limit possible abuse of alpha-accounts that could lead to bigger issues.

If only there were some other options beyond using a Venture as an Alpha…
Working together, ask an omega to bring their orca and use the mining foreman bursts to increase your yield.
Jetcan your ore so teh orca can tractorbeam it close and pick it up. Have it do the trips back and forth or use a dedicated hauler for that… you’ll soon be gaining more with alpha status + being clever.

Yep, totally agree. I was linking to a comment I made earlier in the thread listing a number of alternatives that I had already given to the OP that he either didn’t see, ignored, or doesn’t want to do.

Alpha is still more-or-less a glorified trial. Even the move to include more ships was an attempt to give more options to try out. The secondary result of the change is that Alphas can BE someone else’s content. It makes the place look lived in.
Decide what you want to do, finish the trial, and pay for what you enjoy - Like you would with any entertainment for sale. If you can find out how to mooch some free access, then props to you on your frugalness, but don’t complain when the sound is bad or that there are lines on the screen.

Your picture is exactly correct.
Your complaint is that you cannot make ISK the way you want and that alternatives are too risky or expensive.
I, and others, have explained repeatedly why we disagree with your suggestion and the impact that it will have on the game but you do not appear to be considering those comments.
I, and others, have given you several very viable alternatives to your situation (some of which are focused on mining if that is what you prefer), but you appear to not want to do any of those due to “risk and losses”- which is EXACTLY the point of playing EVE.
At this point, your argument seems to be that you want easy, risk-free ISK, and not pay for the privilege.
I’ve done my best to express sympathy with your frustration at the Alpha experience and offer you constructive suggestions to get to where you want to be and tried to offer some insight into why the limitations exist.
But, as this seems to be going nowhere, I’m done.

I’m unsure as to what his point is, the system works exactly as depicted in his image.
There’s also much more to the Venture than just mining, some of it more profitable too; it’s a surprisingly versatile little ship.
In this sense, they do not have to be “free to play”, but the alpha test system that tries to bring more subscribers.
The thing is, Venture can not get to that circle as shown in the picture
a very good tip a battleship like a rokh mines just as fast asa retreiver does, it cant hold as much but MTU’s make up for that, just make sure you can use a miasmos for hauling the ore back to stn from mtu

This happens time and time again. Someone who starts as Alpha and sees the benefits of Omega just wants them for free.
Simple as that.
Sees the good stuff, doesn’t see why they should pay for it, wants it free.
Alpha is the free meal in the restaurant full of people paying for their meal. People like this don’t see the generosity of the free meal, they just want the better meal the other people are paying for.
Not sure why so many people are entertaining this case of extreme over-entitlement as if it’s anything but that. It really isn’t.

PLEKS, before entering a game, one player must buy it with money EVE does not lose anything if the other trade between PLEKS and ISK occurs in the game
