look i give you an example
i have a friend in eve … he is a so called multiboxer
he has 10 accounts … all accounts with 3 characters
2 of the 3 characters on each account do planatary interaction (PI) and the 3rd does PI, mining and has all the other stuff like battleships and capitals … cool weapons …
he is usually in a belt with:
1 Frighter, 1 Orca and 8 Exhumers … with all this he can plex his 10 accounts … he plays for free …

now … what you think will happen if alphas can use all this stuff? no need to plex anymore … so everyone can just run as many alphas he wants (VPN & VM) …

i tell you … the ore/minerals prices would go to hell … bad thing is … ore is the backbone of this game … you need ore for everything … even cool and fancy stuff need some minerals … so the market would be blown up with minerals … really really cheap minerals …

CCP would sell less subscriptions … the ingame plexmarket would collaps because there is no need for plex for a big number of accounts … so CCP would sell a lot less plex for real money

less money for CCP would mean that EE would be shut down soon … if CCP cant pay the bills and make some €/$ its over … no more EVE …

thats all … nothing more … so there has allways a banace between free players and pay players … usually you dont give the free players the most important thing to make money easy … in the case of EVE … PI and efficient Mining …

How many of those players even ask? I would guess most just drop the game when they see it is pay2win, and it does not matter if they are wrong, it is what they see and what it looks like.

there are posts from time to time … you read the forums to … and there are often answers in threads where its comes into a discusion … so it is a point and it has to be said … its not pay2win … a omega dosent allways get the kill or whatever you want to call a win in eve …
there is no need for a alpha to get omega … just use what you get … since the last change you can use battleships … like i said … we have a alpha corp guy … he goes o roams and is ratting … he works in his limits but he plays total free … no he has the glacial skins for free … he has all … so … and he was never omega … he makes the isk for the daily injector easy and if not who cares then he make it next day … he has no timelimit … he just enjoys the game … he is running level 4 missions and 5/10 in lowsec … yea he has no mining barge … ok … true … just have fun with what you get for free … he is happy … if @Nikola_Dukic cant get happy with the free stuff he has to pay like all the others or change to a other game …

a agree that you @Ima_Wreckyou and me are not getting friends here … at least in this topic but we dont have to … we cant both be right or both be wrong … we are on the oposite of the opinions … so one has to be right … maybe …

I don’t get this. Where is the toxic Eve community when you need them. There are several polite players here explaining the same thing over and over to somebody with the intellectual capacity of a frog:
If you wish to attain Omega status via plexing you can do so- even with Alpha skills. Highsec mining and selling to buy orders is not one of them. Or it can be but then it will suck all joy and happiness out of your soul.

If you had spend the day doing some research instead of whiing on the forums new worlds of Internet spaceship joy could have opened up for you. At least you could have learned how to corectly spell the abbreviation for pilot’s license extension. But you chose to stay ignorant and remain intellectually lazy. I have little hope for your you.

In my opinion alpha was a mistake. It only gave a temporary bump and didn’t boost online numbers in the long run. It likely canabilized it’s own base since many of these alphas are players that would have had subscriptions otherwise. And worst of all we get these overly entitled whine threads all the time now.

The thing is, if f2p then allow players to achieve their goal in the game.
Why waste time playing the game if they can not reach this game
it’s not just a question for me, but for all f2p players
If your activity in the game can not achieve some goal or something better in the game then this game is reduced to p2w.
If all of this is true then the game is falsely promoted as f2p
The conclusion is that the alpha should be limited to 21 days or less and to indicate that the test or trial version is free
which will not lead to an increase in the number of players who currently see f2p on the promotion of this game
so they would avoid such topics and the game would function as it is
I’m just trying to prove that the game does not seem like a f2p
whether I have a monthly subscription or is not the subject of this discussion because I indicated that the game should allow players to play and PVE in the game if they are already promoted as F2P
the game is currently bad F2P.
So, I agree with you that you are concerned about the future of the game, but you have to carefully consider why they did it by promoting it as F2P.
this game is a desperate way of P2P.
And in a very ugly way in the game, get acquainted with the monthly subscription and how it works

You like many others have it backwards. Paying for EVE was the only option when it was released in 2003. People have been paying to play it for years. Paying to play MMO’s is normal. I have paid for at least a dozen MMO’s.

Adding a chunk of the game that is playable for free is the bonus.

That you can even create a character, undock in a spaceship and fly around the galaxy for free is a luxury you are lucky to have.

It is not P2W.

It is Pay to be normal.

It is don’t pay to have a limited free experience.

What if your goal is something that requires Omega, that I pay for?

You are in no way entitled to achieve your goals for free, when other people are achieving those same goals by paying for Omega.

You could go and ask for this in any game.

‘Dear Blizzard, I don’t want to pay to raid dungeons in WoW. Raiding dungeons in WoW is my goal. Therefore, it should be free.’

They would laugh at you.

You can’t just have the bits of Omega you want because it’s your goal. If your goal is something that needs Omega, you have to pay for Omega, not demand that the thing that lets you achieve your goal becomes free.

Why do people pay for things?

Why is there Omega?

You have to stop thinking of Alpha as something that you can expand to meet your needs at will. CCP already did this for you. It’s called paying them some money to become Omega.

That’s the business model. That’s what they want. That’s what thousands of Omega players do.

If people like you are coming to EVE believing they can achieve all of their goals for free because of something CCP told you, then that is their fault and the manner in which they are marketing the game needs to be reconsidered.

If people like you are coming to EVE believing they can achieve all of their goals for free, just because that’s what they want, they haven’t looked into what they can actually do for free, and they refuse to accept that Omega exists for a reason, then they need to stop whining and either accept the limitations or pay for Omega.

In either of the above 2 cases, nothing more needs to be made free so that you can do what you want in the game.

There is a lot you can do as alpha player. You can even make ISK to buy plex. The issue is that it’s not without effort.
Maybe they should put an extra “THIS GAME IS HARD, DO YOU REALLY WANT TO CONTINUE…” at startup with the launcher? Would that stop people with limited intelligence? NOTHING BUT A LITTLE EFFORT is holding you back from being an Omega player. Let me give you a free subscription here: GET OFF YOUR LAZY ASS. And no, trolling on the forums -albeit funny- will not get you PLEX or Omega Sub.

I’m actually runing an alpha trader to see if he can plex himself as a little pet project for giggles.For my starting isk I resorted to asking in jita local for some isk which yes I did get some odd 25mil the started working with it.It’s siting now at about 300mil or so after 1 week.Ow,and I actually paid my original benefactors to their surprise.
