Depends on the value of the target and how many ships you can bring to the gank.
so that was you?
oh and the 280s arenāt an issue when sitting. the issue comes when you warp to the gate with the victim approaching. the cycle time and tracking of 280s might be a problem. anyhow, well done either way.
Great post.
Even gankers are learning here.
i can express that nicerā¦
the t2 rig pays off less when in a group and rarely when solo. the cheaper all fittings, the better the gained/lost value. in groups one guy shoots first and tanks, the rest shoots afterwards until the tank pops or CONCORD shows up. zero need for fancies with little additional return. a cheap thrasher can tank sentries until CONCORD shows up, even including adding dps.
Very much so.
It has been studied/determined, that language is crucial to the capacity to formulate cogent thoughts. Our cognitive development is hinged on language, even as babies.
It has also been said, and often proven, that the pen (or word) is mightier than the sword.
I always carry a pen, a knife and a lighter with me.
With language, a cutting edge, and fire, any man can rebuild the world, and certainly improve it as it is.
Returning to topic:
-T2 Catalysts, Tornados and who knows what else ganking HS whales near you, soon.
Just popping T2 cov ops was a zero sum or slight profit gank due to sisters dropping in decent rates meant you dont have to scan your target just gank away. Never did find a loaded cov ops though.
Please, sincerely, tell us more
Youāve clearly been pushing the envelope on ganking.
Do you see any advantage to gankers from the impending Alpha changes?
You SCAN your victims first and gank for PROFIT?? #nopoorsplease
To be fair I doubt weāll see any more of either.
Because for multiboxers it ultimately is useless to be alpha.
And for solo people it limits them to a single toon at once.
I personally donāt see any advantage in being a ganking alpha (they usually make enough to plex anyway)
You realize that this isnt a no poors issue, in fact Im NOT poor so I can afford ganking for testing and lolz. With everyone doing profit and other ganking this was one area that noone has done before in an entirely different way with new mechanics changes. You know⦠true innovation and emergent gameplay.
So take your killboard padding desires and go home. After 15 years in this game trust me Im rich enough to not have to worry about payouts.
15 years mate and a gankerās elitism still triggers you.
heading back to sleep now. o7
Youre like swatting a fly⦠mate.
There is an inherent contradiction there though.
If you can gank even better as an Alpha, than before, you save a cash sub or 1.5bil isk for PLEX even more efficiently than before.
Im not a ganker (yet), but even to me its clear that even if you have to spend a little bit more to get better dps output, that cost is insignificant compared to the potential reward.
If nothing else, these changes mean that a smaller Alpha gank fleet, albeit at slightly greater cost, can take down the same target, but with less ships than ever before.
It also means, that a large T2 fit Alpha gank fleet, can take down even bigger targets than before.
Ergo, you can now offset cost more effectively against greater efficiency, and with less ships.
Afaik, polarized weapons will also be allowed on Alphas, as a T2 equivalent.
Expensive, yes, but again, depends on the value of the target and how many ships you can field OR want to split the potential profits with.
As a ganker, you usually prefer profit.
Being limited to a single logged account prevents you from picking up said profit from wrecks
Itās a major turn-off for a lot of guys in the business
Now, if you only do fleets, thatās another matter since thereās other dudes grabbing the loot.
But then again you can only have 1 logged toon
Its a trivial matter to recruit someone else to pick it up, and its possible often to simply log in on another hauler alt and grab the loot with that. Most players in HS avoid wrecks like the plague.
Either they are too busy autopiloting, or doing whatever else they do. Looting a wreck never enters their mind, especially when it entails a suspect flag.
Its also a trivial matter to have a second computer or laptop for a lot of people these days. Not everyone though.
Yes, that too. Especially in EVE which is deliberately and famously low on PC requirements. Flee markets etc here in Finland are full of antiquated laptops capable of running an EVE client for less than a months sub.
I dont know if CCP tracks clients, or IPs. And frankly, I dont want to know.
When I was creating several of my new accounts after Ascension I was convoed by a GM as a new player to see if I had questions of the game. I lolled and told him he was already talking to my alt at the same time. He asked if I was doing anything wrong, aka VMs or such, to get around the trial/alpha rule. I told him no I had multiple computers. Was the end of the convo and I wished him well with helping our newbros.
CCP has always stated that Alphas are on the same conditions as the old trial accounts which were able to be multiboxed with several computers. Now I wouldnt want to push it too far but a second computer to have an omega alt as a pickup alt or other such isnt against the rules CCP has set up.
That being said CCP can and might change their mind int he future. Its their game and they are able to do that sort of thing. But I personally dont sweat it myself.
I also have a 15 year old computer that still can run 2 clients on it. So its quite nice to have the options.
As I said above, it doesnt even need to be an Omega alt.
You can pick up substantial value with an Alpha too, either by logging to that Alpha on that same PC, or with another PC client running alongside.
Most ganks are group efforts anyways, so there is no shortage of loot haulers.
Owing to the nature of HS, its quite unlikely that anyone else will loot the wreck.
Most people in HS will panic the second they see the popup that they are committing a suspect act, cos they never change their settings off green.
Good point, but Small Projectile Metastatis Adjuster I would be as the one-shot fit sometimes fails probably because of the low tracking.
Thanks for link though, those fits looks interesting, i will probably try to gank in new waters lol.
