Once again- I’m down for nerfing Alpha out of this game entirely, but there’s no reason to. Gnosis ships don’t concern me. Not a single one of them can beat my best Omega only ships. Doesn’t matter how many posts these people make trying to prove how Overpowered the are. All that’s off-topic. It doesn’t matter. SOCT ships are fun to fly, but they’re weak compared to things I can fly. I sold my Praxis. wait… did I? Maybe I just forgot where I parked it…

Why do you do that? “smoke and mirrors”. I literally stated that it couldn’t beat my BEST Omega ship. Of course it’s a good one! I’d even put my T3 Cruiser against an Alpha fit Gnosis. Do you lie awake thinking everyone is out to get you? I’m not being combative against you.

So how is that a measurement of its capabilities and thus, somehow, a point? “Ship isn’t OP at all, see how it loses to a marauder lol. Please don’t nerf it because I love it too much”.
I have said in this very thread multiple times to nerf it and Alpha ships just to end all of the complaining here. Nerf everything Alpha. I don’t care one way or another. Hell, delete all of the SoCT and Concord and anything else Alpha. I honestly wouldn’t care if Alpha went away completely.
But I’ll gladly run your Gnosis against my Proteus.

Nothing wrong with that, just some people here seem to disrespect the alphas, acting like they are here for free. If you paid out 1 year, you are obviously feeling secure in your position. Even if you lost it, in less time than what you paid. For example, a sudden and unannounced shutdown would impact long term accounts. NCSoft in 2012 sold us a City of Heroes expansion pack, then 30 days later announced the game shutdown. Nothing you can do about it. Sure it stings, but not the first time I lost money. I err on the side of caution now.
If you read above, there are many alphas who buy PLEX and just have no desire to buy omega. Slashing prices would not affect the group. It would be a benefit to people who pay for omega, possibly increase the number of omega players, and shift more omega PLEXers into omega subs.
If I were in charge of CCP, I definitely would cut the omega price to promote growth, and include a cost reduction based on the quantity of subs. Simple example would be to know how much is profit from a monthly sub. For the sake of argument let’s say the current sub is reflecting 60% profit. I could cut the sub cost 50% and still show a 10% profit from subs. Next month the number of subs jumps up and my accountants tell me we are making 18% profit from subs, now I can cut the sub cost back 8%. The more subscribers the lower the cost. Unfortunately I eventually will get greedy and want to buy Greenland, it is just the way things work.
And after 300 posts, no-one seems able to answer the simple question ’ so what ?’
What is bad about new players, or indeed anyone, being able to fly SOCT ships without any race skills ? I’ve seen BS about it taking ‘months and months’ to train race skills by comparison. But it doesn’t. My total training time to get to Amarr Cruiser V, for example, was only just over a month.
Once again…what’s the problem ?
Gloria only started skilling about 8 months ago, is relatively ‘noob’, and is to date the only one of my alts that has any kills with an SOCT ship. In fact 1315 of my 1400 kills are with Phantasms, Drekavacs, Nightmares, Leshaks, and the main one being the Eagle.
Where is all this ‘overpowered’ when I’ve lost two Gnosis to mere frigates ? None of my other ships has ever been lost to a frigate.
It’s the same old thing on these forums, that the same old bittervets sit in their ivory towers and pontificate on ‘data’ yet the actual day to day experience of people actually playing the game is tossed out as irrelevant.
I even think that’s the reason more people don’t post here. I mean…what’s the point in expressing one’s actual experience when some total know-it-all vet who hasn’t undocked in years will get all uppity and claim their ‘data’ trumps everything.
CCP could make a fortune if, rather than forcing people to create new accounts to multibox, they introduced a same-priced ‘multibox permit’ on individual accounts…whereby one could log in two chars from the same account at the same time.
The reason being that I ( and no doubt others ) simply can’t be bothered with the months it will take to train an existing 5m SP Alpha up to a decent SP level by making it Omega…whereas I do already have a number of Omegas on the same account that are at decent SP levels.

If you want to multibox you’ll need to pony up the cash or PLEX for your individual accounts. A “multibox” permit isn’t needed and there are probably numerous technical challenges that would need to be overcome in any event.
There must be if you feel the constant, never ending, need to troll my every post.
It only takes one example to prove you don’t call the shots in your little world space where you are the queen.
Out here in reality an absolute is easy to prove wrong. Open any thread I’ve posted in to see the evidence of your fallacy.

Let me correct you:
From your 90 kills, 85 are in a Gnosis. Which is why you love to see the SoCT ships staying OP.
With this OP ship, you have “killed” only 1 ship of equal size (Combat Battlecruiser), which in fact was a whoring kill, as it was a criminal which would have died to CONCORD anyway (CONCORD is on the mail), so all you have done was firing a single shot at him. The Majority of all “kills” are Shuttles, Corvettes and Capsules.
Looks like a pretty bad case of “no idea about PvP at all”.
And all the “other accounts” don’t exist for the matter of this conversation as long as you don’t post with them.

Lol…its really quite funny when you can’t spot your own massive contradictions.
On the one hand, according to you my Gnosis is massively OP…but you then go on to regale how all I’ve killed with my ‘massively OP’ Gnosis is a few pods and frigates. I mean…what ? My ‘massively OP’ Gnosis hasn’t even killed another Gnosis let alone a Titan. Just how ‘massive’ is this OP ?

Even without a SoCT rebalance, Alphas should still probably lose access to all Faction hulls, weapons and modules - including SoCT.
Hopefully this ends the SoCT vs. OP debate.
