First of all if you and your expensive hauler, or whatever you happen to be flying, get ganked by an alpha clone that says a lot for that alpha clone and since you look down on them should be rather embarrassing to you.
I admire them and think little of your proposal.
Second, alpha clones have an opinion of working their ass off, hopefully by making your life harder, and plexing their accounts. By doing so they are paying for their accounts the same as you are, they just don’t hold it over your head.
Third, there is no way you can tell if someone is an alpha clone unless they tell you they are, so where are you getting your information from exactly? You say there are loads of them in every system in any major pipe? Prove it.
You go on to state that you hunt them thinking they are omega only to find out that they have low skill points (correct me if I misread your somewhat muddled sentence please) by looking at Zkillboard, I wasn’t aware Zkillboard could provide information like how many skill points someone has.
It’s often said that bald men are more virile . The popular theory is that they have higher levels of the male hormone testosterone, which makes them more masculine and increases their sex drive, but they lose their hair at a younger age than average as a result
Is that field optional or not? If not, how much effort do you suppose people put into it?
It all amounts to the same thing. Few bother with technically unsubbing and those who do obviously have no investement in the future of the game so are unlikely to go the extra mile to help.
So according to you there is effectively no data about how many players quit because of ganking because they all quit silently. But you somehow just know that it’s an issue because you feel it in your guts?
It’s optional, takes a few seconds and gives you the option to say why you are unsubscribing (strangely @CCP_Rattati isn’t an option but you can name him if you like).
This is for people paying with credit cards or whatever. I don’t know what they ask, if anything, when people biomass.
Ok, so there’s that…
Then there this:
■■■■■■■■.
First of all you have (I feel like I’m repeating myself here) no idea how many people actually unsubscribe, if CCP wanted you to know that you would likely be under an NDA and not allowed to tell us this tripe.
Second, everyone who unsubscribes (and I don’t mean biomassing) has to “technically unsubscribe” in order to stop being charged by CCP, unless there’s some option I’m unaware of.
On top of all that there are people who unsubscribe in whatever way who are heavily invested in this game, I’m one of them. As for how many have done this only CCP knows that and I’m reasonably sure they didn’t tell you about it or give you a spreadsheet detailing who unsubscribed and when they did it let alone for what reason.
There’s a hint in this post about why I did and what I told them in their questionnaire and that, if you manage to guess my reason will be literally your only data point.
I suppose if you do guess you could use your own data to say “few” when talking about how many people do this, but that’s pretty useless information.
I will admit that I am starting to miss Binkers. However, I also heavily suspect that Binkers was the one who slashed the tires on my vintage Dodge Charger the last time I came over to play Dungeons and Dragons, which coincidentally was the day that I forgot to purchase the catnip.
